:-D

Yep.

There's another guy who was in that all or nothing class and the name escapes me....I think he played for the Orioles.

Mickey Tettleton?

Pitchers should learn to hit, but as it is that will never happen and watching Randy Johnson take hacks at the plate is such an abortion that I can understand Aaron's comment there.
Is rjs gonna have to choke a bitch?

Let them eat bootstraps.

it definitely makes sense, no doubt about that.  pitchers will never be effective hitters at the ml level unless they start playing like they did in high school where they pitch and then play another position in the field when they aren't on the mound.  because at least that way, they are getting to the plate every day.  but at the ml level, there's no way a pitcher will ever look comfortable at the plate when he gets 2 or 3 ab's every 5th day.

but like i said, i like the subtle differences between the al and nl because it forces managers to employ different strategies during interleague and ws play.  to me, it makes those interleague match ups a little more interesting.

best and worst baseball promotions for 2010

QuoteIndians Recycled Cap (Indians, April 17)
Everyone supports recycling. Except maybe bitter Indians fans who suspect their small-budget team is just giving them the old hat of a player it couldn't afford to sign.

QuoteO's Ravens Rally Cap (Orioles, June 12)
What do you do when your team hasn't had a winning record since 1997? Hey! Let's give out a hat in the colors of the far more successful football team across the street!

QuoteTim Lincecum Bobblehead (Giants, July 17)
Bad idea. This could easily -- and will be -- hollowed out into a bobblebong by many fans.

QuoteCC Sabathia Bobblehead (Brewers, Aug. 29)
Ummmmmmmm. I wonder when the Brewers are having Derek Jeter Bobblehead Night.

QuoteManny Ramirez Action Figure (Dodgers, July 22)
With real loafing action!

QuoteCubs White T-Shirt (Cubs, July 23)
Turn it inside-out and ... VOILA! A white flag.

Don Ho

Sabathia throwing no hitter through 7 1/3.   Burrell at bat now.
"Well where does Jack Lord live, or Don Ho?  That's got to be a nice neighborhood"  Jack Singer(Nicholas Cage) in Honeymoon in Vegas.

Don Ho

No hitter broken up with 2 outs in the 8th.  Never heard of the Ray that gave it up.  CC pulled.

you should hate him and hope he tears his acl

Zero hour, Michael. It's the end of the line. I'm the firstborn. I'm sick of playing second fiddle. I'm always third in line for everything. I'm tired of finishing fourth. Being the fifth wheel. There are six things I'm mad about, and I'm taking over.

QB Eagles

The Pirates gave up 13 runs in the fourth inning today, capped by a two-run homer by the D-backs starting pitcher (career BA .129).

Sgt PSN

just noticed that toronto is 5-1 and that their loss was on opening day.  they've also given up the least runs (18) in all of baseball right now.

ESPN had one of their many meaningless stats up this morning that showed the 4 AL playoff teams as of right now would be Toronto, Minnesota, Detroit, and Oakland :-D

Who's pitching for the braves tonight? Down 6-0 through 4...

perhaps you could explain sd's reasons for "disliking" it as well since you seem to be so in tune with other peoples minds
