QuoteIn the three months since finishing his college career at Florida, Tim Tebow has worked with several coaches to help him develop NFL-quality passing mechanics. One of those coaches, Marc Trestman, is making a public endorsement of Tebow's ability to make it in the NFL.

"I believe in the right environment Tim Tebow will figure this out," Trestman told the News-Herald. "He doesn't have explosive arm strength, but he has more than adequate arm strength to throw the ball in the NFL and make all the throws. I saw him do something totally different in seven or eight days."

Trestman, who is currently the head coach of the Montreal Alouettes and has previously been an offensive coordinator or quarterbacks coach for eight different NFL teams, says he was impressed with Tebow's eagerness to learn during their tutoring sessions.

"I can only imagine what he's going to do in one year or two years, because he's going to outwork everybody else and find a way to figure it out," Trestman said.

It's hard not to wonder why, if Tebow can pick up so much about the nuances of playing quarterback in seven or eight days, he didn't learn more in four years at Florida. But it's clear that coaches who spend time around Tebow usually come away impressed, and that may explain why he seems to be moving up draft boards.

That is impressive no matter what you think of Tebow.

Tony Mandarich impressed people too.

Tony Mandarich impressed people too.

That comparison literally makes no sense.  Phreak you have been off your game here lately.

Dude, you bolded a part about coaches coming away impressed.

I said Tony Mandarich impressed people too. Hell, Jimmy Johnson and those people in Dallas were going to draft him until talked out of it.

Every guy is getting hyped at this time. Coaches and scouts love all players right now. What's so special about what you pointed out?

Well Mandrich was a stud in college he just couldn't keep up with his roid regiment.  Also you are comparing a "can't miss" tackle prospect to a project QB.

Read the whole article, I am just pointing out that coaches seem to think there is something to work with.

And I'm saying that every coach thinks there is something to work with on certain players. They all think they can mesh and mold guys right now.

Tebow sucks and will not be an NFL QB, in my opinion. I don't want the Eagles anywhere close to this dope.

I wouldn't mind Tebow as a late round project player type pick. But speculation is he'll go in round 1 or 2 now.

Thats my point as well, if they were to take him in the first 2 rounds I would be beyond pissed.

QB Eagles

Don't see any reason to go QB early here. If Kolb is serviceable, you're immediately putting even more pressure on the kid, especially if you bring Tebow and a media circus to town. If Kolb sucks bigtime, then this year is farged anyway. Go out and get another QB during the lockout next year.

The Packers took Brian Brohm fairly early after Favre retired.  Then again they didn't have any other QBs on their roster.

I'm not sure why the Eagles would go after Dwyer unless you actually buy that they'll be running the ball inside more.  He doesn't seem like a fit at all in this offense.
