so what did you want witherspoon to do ...have 7 int's? The guy did well for coming in half of the season, was always around the football and made solid tackles. more than I can say for the rest of the dolts manning the middle

i dont remember him making any tackles
only getting trucked on the regular
he wasnt good enough to play for the rams

i dont have too much of an issue with letting witherspoon go. assuming they would draft LB in the early rounds is a reach to say the least but let's just say they do considiering they may get extra picks via trades. who should they go after ?

i dont think its really of question of a specific player to replace him...what im saying is he is old not cheap and has no real future with the team...he isnt the kind of player im interested in right now...i know the eagles are not the rams but imo they are in the same kind of boat right now...the eagles should be making moves with their veterans like the rams did with witherspoon..get rid of the slew of average crap they have on the roster and replace them with a future

I just figured it all out. They dumped Witherspoon because they are going draft another guy with the same last name to play the vacated spot.

yeah, we have already established what you think of witherspoon and considering he's gone it makes zero sense to keep discussing him as it's obvious the eagles are getting rid of older high priced players and he is one a couple that they have already moved or released.

nfl has been moving towards small quick sideline to sideline linebackers for a decade now...hes not small for todays game....i rarely complain about the size of their linebackers but rather the complete lack of talent...mlb is the only place that size is of a real concern these days...and hell jon beason is an excellent mlb who is smaller than watson...i mean i dont want a strong side guy who is six foot 210 but you get the idea

watson may not ever end up being a player in the league but size wont be an issue
