One thing I'm 100% sure of is that the taterskins will NOT get Peppers.
Calling it right on the $ since day one.
Just pointing laughing, and living it up while watching the Miami Heat stink it up.

Agent Carl Carey says that inking defensive end Julius Peppers is Chicago's "deal to lose."

So what if they lose?

Carey told Steve Reed of the Gaston Gazette that, if things don't work out in Chicago, Peppers will visit with the Eagles.

It's looking less likely by the minute that Peppers will leave Chicago as anything but a member of the Bears.  Carey told Reed that the Bears have "extended an impressive contract offer."

"Chicago will be our first visit and we don't want them looking over their shoulder worrying about other teams right now," Carey said.  "They were the first to call and they've made us a ballpark offer and it's good enough to where we'll make a visit.  Pending the outcome of that visit we may visit with Philadelphia and see where we are from there."

So he doesn't want the Bears to look over their shoulders but there the Eagles are, over the Bears' shoulders.

Yep.  Tom Hagen.

sounds like if the Eagles bothered to pick up the phone first Peppers might be an Eagle

ice grillin you

i actually dont want peppers...hes to old for that kind of money...if the eagles were a DE away id say go all out...but they are in big time retool mode that could venture into rebuild territory when cobb takes over
i can take a phrase thats rarely heard...flip it....now its a daily word

igy gettin it done like warrick

im the board pharmacist....always one step above yous

MMH

Rolle wants comparable money to Peppers.  At least he's younger.  But again, in big time retool mode....

I cant believe Antonio Cromartie was traded to the Jets for a 3rd rounder.  I'd rather have him than  Rolle

well Ryan Clark from the Steelers just hit the open market now. I would look hard into that. He'll be right behind Rolle as one of the top free agent safeties, but would be worth the coin as a solid vet back there. then draft your safety

solid hitter and good nose for the ball...of course you dont have the luxury of playing with Troy Polamalu every sunday

To me, the money part doesn't matter, it's not my $ and it is officially an uncapped year.
