It was. I was mostly just laughing at Phreak announcing that it was both shocking and not shocking in the same sentence.

Reid said the release was just to give Brian a chance to find another job before free agency.  Nothing to do with money.  Nothing.  Yeah.

Switch to the other arm. You'd probably have to ask Andy to hold your beer though.

The man. The myth. The legend.

Rome

I don't begrudge them releasing him after the troubles he had last year.  I just hate them blindly at this point, so anything they do is going to piss me off.

so McNabb, Akers, Sheldon, Mikell, Trotter (for now), Jamaal Jackson and Andrews are the only players left from the Super Bowl team, and the latter two were on IR during that playoff run...

General_Failure

Two of them will probably not be on the opening day roster.

It was shocking to actually hear them do it.  Even though I was pretty sure it was going to happen, it still came as a surprise.

I think they should have kept him.

How the time flies - it seems like 2003 was yesterday when he was sticking it up the Giants asses. How great that day was.

I love Brian Westbrook but it is time to move on.  He is done.  And this is far from surprising or shocking.

QuoteESPN gets fooled by Westbrook impersonator

Tony Kornheiser isn't the only guy who is going to be suspended by ESPN this week.

Someone who guards the on-air gate allowed a person pretending to be soon-to-be-former Eagles running back Brian Westbrook to talk live via phone with Scott Van Pelt on last night's SportsCenter.

Here's the audio/video.

As if the prank wasn't obvious the minute the person started talking, it became even more clear when the caller mentioned "worshiping the prostate of Howard Stern."

Maybe the caller was Tony Kornheiser.
