I find that I hate superstars in general and Peyton Manning is a superstar. So while I support his self-depreciating humor and appreciate the fact that someone so catastrophically out of shape can be a historically good NFL QB, I don't actually wish him any success come playoff time.

i generally feel the same way about great players but theres certain players that are so great i come to respect and/or like them

manning is one of them for me

I don't really mind him and tend to like him more than other superstars, but in the playoffs my hatred of elite players gets magnified. I can't think of a good reason for that to happen, but whatever.

For an NFL quarterback he is the doughiest motherfarger I've ever seen. I have more muscle tone than that guy, which is a very sad state of affairs.

I used to absolutely hate Manning and his peanut shaped head. Though he is so good I have definitely gave an appreciation for him.

Probably the constant slurp fest the get from the talking heads on ESPN, the pregame shows, and the in-game commentators.

yeah, he should totally stop being so good so that people stop talking about him. and you should definitely hate on him because other people can't stop talking about him. it's the same with favre. i'm not annoyed with favre because madden wouldn't stop talking about him. i was annoyed with madden because he wouldnt stfu about him.
