There is something to be said for hanging three sheets to the wind, then screwing, and timing it so that you both come exactly at the stroke of midnight. I accomplished this three years ago. Just at completion, there were all kinds of fireworks and celebrating and cheering which I pretended were just for me. I took a naked victory lap around the neighborhood.

happy new year nerds.  along with a plethora of booze we will have with a dozen or so friends coming over, i spent about 2 hours yesterday making a whole batch of egg nog from scratch.  pretty good stuff and quite boozy.
