the onsides was a good idea

just use it in a game not at home against the last place team. like week 17 against dallas. or a playoff game. go big or go home with a call like that.

No it wasn't a good idea.  Not at all.

That was the 4th time under Reid that they've tried that bullshtein... and twice it's backfired in a big way on them.

The play was there, there wasn't a taterskin in sight.....just couldn't get an Eagles player on the ball. Not that it would have mattered as Joe Mays farged it up from the get go.

perhaps you could explain sd's reasons for "disliking" it as well since you seem to be so in tune with other peoples minds

Rome

LOL

It was beyond farging stupid.

It was not only completely unnecessary, it was exactly the sort of over-analyzing embarrassment that has consistently been the difference between winning big games and losing them.

I was actively praying for that fat farg to die during the game and I'm not even kidding.

MDS

unnecessary is a good word.

the call itself is a good one to go with in a game where you need some sort of fluky break to help win. like a potential playoff game against the saints. this game is not that.
Zero hour, Michael. It's the end of the line. I'm the firstborn. I'm sick of playing second fiddle. I'm always third in line for everything. I'm tired of finishing fourth. Being the fifth wheel. There are six things I'm mad about, and I'm taking over.

Rome

If this pathetic bullshtein team had a seething, bloodthirsty defense I could see them pulling that bullshtein but they don't.  They are totally average in every respect and that's why they keep lousy teams close and get embarrassed by good ones.

Giving a miserable offensive team like the taterskins any help whatsoever is the clinical definition of absolute idiocy.

Munson

I think people here are more angry after this win then they are after some of the losses that go on.

The only thing I'm mad about is Celek's poor performance. Reid outsmarted himself again, nothing new there. I think I'm getting used to the stupid penalties.

Rome

Just not worth it.  Don't anyone bother.

Yeah that was a bit deflating considering he's been a real bright spot this year. I did see a lot of tape on his left thumb though/they actually showed the trainer taping up his thumb during the 4th corner. Reid didn't do injuries outside of Jackson during his PC though.

1. The on-side kick was stupid. Not the act of leading off the game with one, but doing against a team who is going nowhere fast is stupid. If it fails, and it did, it gives this underdog loser team momentum...which it did.

2. 3rd down defense...farging pitiful

3. Not enough blitzing and playing WAY too soft against their receivers

4. Stupid penalties (AGAIN)

5. McNabb leads another game tying/game winning drive

enough of this mcnabb propaganda

its not about doing the simple things like leading a drive mid way through the fourth quarter to tie the game against a 3-win team. most qbs can do that. its about doing what vince young did today. its about doing these kinds of things in the playoffs.

mcnabb has never done that and doesnt appear to have the balls to ever do it. ive come to grips with that. i accept it.

Come on man..........take the good with the bad.  That's our QB.

Drift back in time - the period between #12 and #5 - and be thankful for what we have in our QB

No...if the clowns who like to point out every little thing he supposedly cannot do, then I'm going to point out every little thing he gets credit for.

General_Failure

It really sucks that McNabb didn't lead a 90 yard drive today. Oh wait, he did. Well, he did it without converting three fourth downs.
