steven jackson is better

chris johnson eats westbrook for lunch

ray rice is better

steve slaton

matt forte

im sure im forgetting some others

like i said he might be a top ten back right now...top 3 or even 5 is laughable

Those two are having severe sophomore slumps. But you could replace those names with Rashard Mendenhall, Marshawn Lynch, Ronnie Brown, Frank Gore.

It's difficult to gauge what Westbrook has left though when he's only getting six carries a game

lol at IGY declaring those guys better after doing it for ONE YEAR. Ray Rice not even a year. Westbrook had an off year last year and played hurt and still had a year as good as Slaton and Forte.

I remember you saying something about Shockey being better than Gates and Gonzo too after his great year.

The only one you got right is Johnson, and he's got a shtein ton of yards and I think 1 TD.

perhaps you could explain sd's reasons for "disliking" it as well since you seem to be so in tune with other peoples minds

igy isnt declaring it everyone but you is...because as usual youre a complete moron who doesnt watch or know shtein about any sport...all you do is wait for someone to say something even remotely negative about a philly team or player then just go in the opposite direction...youre a clueless pissant

oh and good job on that shockey call...youve now resorted to just making shtein up because youre so clueless?

"maybe better than most TEs" is what I wrote, wannabe.

Gonzalez
Shockey
Heap
Gates
all way better than LJ

they still have better numbers than wesbrook...and westbrook isnt getting the same carries because he cant haul that same load and just isnt the same player he was in his mvp type season from a few years ago...you think andy is not giving him the ball on a whim?...he sees that westbrook isnt the same player and is adjusting his workload accordingly...westbrook can still be really valuable used in the right way...and thats what andy is trying to do

that said i have no problem lumping westbrook in a group with forte (slaton i think is much better right now)...i only am bringing up different players to counter munsons ridiculous assertion that westrbook is still a top 3 back...i still think westbrook can have some huge games in the right circumstances...a 100 plus rushing yards or 100 plus receving yards...three touch game ect ect..he just isnt going to consistently do that at this stage of his career nor should he be expected to

I don't think it's a whim; I think it's because Andy Reid hates the run game. I really doubt he recognizes anything about Westbrook. Andy Reid has never been the type of coach to adjust the gameplan to suit his players talents

ice grillin you

then how do explain westbrook getting over 700 carries the previous three seasons

not to mention over 200 receptions

then all of a sudden this year because andy hates the run hes ignoring him?

you dont think it might have a little to do with westbrook not being the same player anymore

Westy is an all-time great Eagle.  At this point though he doesn't seem to have much left.  There are very few backs that reach the 30 mark that are highly productive thereafter.

Westbrook had 13 carries in each of the first two games which is probably normal. Then in the last two games there were about a total of 13 running plays called which isn't enough for Westbrook to get his touches. In the second half of the Raiders game Westbrook was used in the backfield almost exclusively, but when the other team has such a huge lead apparently running the ball isn't an option.

I think Reid thought the Bucaneers and Raiders are such zesty teams that the Eagles would be able to pass all day against them. The only reason he probably called any running plays was to keep the playaction pass effective (in his mind)

your argument would hold some water if mccoy or someone else was getting additional carries.  or if the wild dawg offense was getting 10-15 reps a game.  but neither is the case.

reid completely ignored the run in a game that the eagles never trailed by more than a touch down against a team that ranks 29th against the run.

the eagles are 30th in the nfl in rush attempts but tied for 12th in ypc.  reid is a moron.

ice grillin you

its not an argument its fact...westbrook is not the same player he was three years ago and like flex said doesnt have a whole lot left

and its not about how many carries shadyor westbrook has its the fact that they are essentially being used about the same amount....and this is because andy knows that westbrook cant carry the same load he did in the past...because again and this is the only point im making...westbrook is not the same (much less a top 3 back which is where all this got started)
