46 passes/14 runs

Psh, its not like Westbrook was rushing for 8 yards a carry or something.

thats doesnt wash cause they used the wildcat a good amount thus far...but in the only game they maybe really needed it they dont run it at all??

not to mention i dont think andy considers the wc a run play

They needed something to slow the pass rush down, or at least wear the Raider's line out. That required an offensive adjustment and some creativity. We all know that Reid/Morty don't possess the ability to do that. You could see they came out with basically the same exact game plan they ran against Tampa. When it didn't work, it was as if they thought, "That's weird.....do it again."

You really have to love running the ball 14 times against the 31st ranked run D.

Fat farging moron should have realized they were throwing the ball since he burned his last time out 2 SECONDS before the 2 minute warning, meaning they could throw the ball since it was going to the 2 minute warning anyway.  I guess he didn't think about that and left Trotter in the game to embarrass himself.

i honestly dont have a huge problem with the run pass today...just because they werent going ot be able to run the ball...and it wasnt as if the run game was gonna make mcnabb more accurate...as legendz said he was brutal even when he had time...my big problem was with the complete lack of creativity in the passing game...and as i mentioned no wildcat...which makes me feel kinda dirty cause im not a wildcat fan

I saw that play action coming on the 3rd down miles away. Why didn't the Eagles?
Calling it right on the $ since day one.
Just pointing laughing, and living it up while watching the Miami Heat stink it up.

Everybody played like shtein. The line couldn't block. When they did, McNabb couldn't throw. When he could, the receivers couldn't catch. How any positive yards were obtained, I have no idea. I suspect theft.

1. Not running the football.

2. McNabb not realizing he had no times outs prior to the half.

3. McNabb airmailing wide-open receivers on deep routes by 10+ yards.

4. McNabb not taking what was given to him, constantly trying to throw under heavy pressure.

5. Waiting to give Dunlap some form of help until mid-way through the third quarter.

6. Failing to adjust to anything Oakland did on offense.

7. Jeremiah Trotter covering Zack Miller on the TD scamper.

8. Jeremiah Trotter covering Justin Fargas out of the backfield in the fourth.

9. Jeremiah Trotter having a spot on the roster.

10. Mike Vick getting on the field 2-3 times all game.

this game really defines just how farging inept reid can be as a head coach.  in a way, he's a lot like mcnabb.  when mcnabb is on, he's farging amazing and when he's off, we get performances like today.  reid is very much the same.  there are some games when reid's prep/planning/playcalling is money and then there's games like today where it looks like he faxed a copy of his playbook and game plan to the opposing coach.

why after all these years do people in here think that Reid is going to adjust his game day strategy because of who he is playing against? they dont come into practice on wednesday and decide to practice pounding the ball. it will never happen.

belichick doesnt do it, neither will Reid....deal with it

thats cause they are both the epitome of a front runner and they have no guts....when they are up 21-0 against an 0-5 team they are a probowler and a genius...when time sare tough they are a puker and a deer in the headlights

This seemed like a preseason game where the simple explanation would be the playbook was paired down and they didn't want to reveal anything for the season.  This is, as igy said, exactly the game to really unveil the wildcat.  When you can't move the ball you bring in vick and give it a shot.  If you aren't going to use it now, when the farg are you going to use it?

did they cut trotter and sign Runyan yet?

Runyan plays RT....they need a LT....unless you plan on moving Justice back to the left side.

Wasn't hard to tell Oakland's defensive game plan was to get after McNabb. They had their ears pinned back from the first snap. If the Birds just came out and ran the ball right at it, like most other head coaches in the league would have done, it might have been different.  McNabb was still god awful. The thing that makes me most mad is not the play calling, the idiotic time management, McNabb's dumb throws....that's all old hat. What pisses me off is just how badly this team overlooked Oakland. You could tell they were just going to try and walk through it, and look toward Washington/Dallas. The whole team, top to bottom, was completely sleeping. That's 100% on Reid, and is an indictment of his ability to motivate this team on his own. farging pathetic display from a "professional" football team.

i disagree they didnt have their ears pinned back...seymour did once dunlap got in the game...but from the get go the interior of the line was getting destroyed much more so than them coming off the edges....the bottom line was on passing and running downs they were getting eaten alive...neither was going to work as is...thus the need to throw some wrinkles in the gameplan...and none were

i mean jesus they werent even using their screens...i think they threw 2

it was literally five step drop or shotgun for the entire passing game
