Yeah I'm sorry but I can't throw it all on Leighton. He literally is half the reason why they were even there. And if he's not in net it's probably a 5 or 6 goal game for Chicago.

That being said, that seriously is one of the most horrible moments in philly sports history. To end like that. Just.......farg it.

How about he doesn't need to make a save if the defense wasn't skating on concrete?

The Flyers were dominating OT and Niemi was coming up huge, Leighton let in the softest goal imaginable. He doesn't handle pressure well and you could tell early on in OT he was shaky.

I think he's fine as a backup but like I said last page part with some talent (Carter/JVR etc.) and get a REAL goalie in here.

There are literally about six different ways Carter could have scored on that play.

Carter shouldn't have been on the ice at all, he was by far the worst player on either team.

yeah, the entire first line was awful, but at least Gagne scored once or twice and Richards hits...Carter literally does nothing except shoot.  he can't pass, can't play physical.

I never understood the Philly love for the guy, he only played here for a 3 or 4 seasons and they didn't win squat with him.
