Chicago sports reporters saying the Hawks are HUGE HUGE favorites and should dispose of the Flyers fairly quickly.

Clement brought up a good point about this.  He was saying a lot of people are basing this off the regular season and how up and down the Flyers were.  He also said though part of it is due to how much better the Western Conference is.

I just went back and re-read a few pages of the 2009 Flyers season thread; most notably a page or 2 from the day Pronger was acquired. Gold baby, gold.

Pronger was my all time favorite player who never played for the Flyers, I've been saying that since I've been a member of this board. That being said, I'll admit I ripped the trade. I knew he would be gold in the playoffs, but you can't blame fans for being frustrated initially with the move: they had no goalie, were shipping 1st rounders out faster than the taterskins, Pronger is 35, and Sbisa was a promising player.

Most underrated player last series: Coburn. I've bashed him all season, but if you watched him close this past series he resembled a top pairing D-man.

who didn't rip the trade at one point and deservingly so but you can't argue that to this point the move hasn't paid off.

True, but this team isn't here without Pronger. In my eyes he's the best D-Man in the NHL. Hands down. Show me all the stats in the world, they mean shtein, he's like having an extra goalie out there, he's physical, plays more minutes than should be humanly possible, and to top it off is great offensively.
