LMAO... Here's a good comparison i just saw on FP
While I'm not his biggest fan, here is what a super star player picked around where JVR was in a different year, did in his rookie year.

Gp-79
G-23
A-23
Pts-46

By the way JVR had

Gp-78
G-15
A-20
Pts-35

Anyone want to guess the player?

i dont even wanna know it will make me laugh and throw up all at the same time

but i will guess the author of the post...a flyer homer?

Stamkos.   He was 18 but the principal is the same.  First year rookie drafted in the same area except stamkos got more minutes since he was on a zesty team.  Congrats on going back to your Homer schtick.  I knew the second I go and say don't give up on a 21 year old rookie power forward I'd get smacked with a Homer label.

reemer is by far the least of this team's worries.

Here's a forward that was the #2 overall pick and was 20 years old in his rookie year:

Regular season = 78 games, 33 goals, 52 assists, 85 points
Playoffs = 5 games, 0 goals, 4 assists, team lost in the first round in 5 games

Malkin sucks.

if you have seen both play comparing stamkos to reemer in even the most minute way (even in their rookie years) smacks of some of the greatest homerism ive ever seen in my life

some people dont belong in the same discussion...

lolololol and then easy tops it by bringing up malkin (if you are joking easy i apologize)

THIS is why normal people cant have discussions with flyer fans

not even close...but either is hartnell...at the same time because hartnell is ten times worse doesnt mean reemer wasnt an abomination the last half of the year

he's nowhere near the same level as Malkin.....just pointing out that a #2 overall pick can struggle in the playoffs in his rookie year and it doesn't guarantee he's a bust.  In fact, most of the #2 picks of the 2000s have done well in the playoffs.  You're just mad that he's not Patrick Kane....

ice grillin you

did malkin have like four points the last 40 games of his rookie season?

shtein im mad hes not ovechkin
kane isnt even that good
hes just light years better than reemer

at this point id take hartnells career out of him

Seabiscuit36

why bother discussing this with you, you've made up your mind he's a bust at 21 when he hit that rookie wall where he had only played 32 games a year in college.  Well Done.    I'll bookmark this discussion

You just knew the Bruins were going to tie it.

Seabiscuit36

yep

They really should just lose it, no point in letting Boston get the win at home.  Thats such a recchi like goal.
