RIF dookies.  i think the shoot out is fun to watch.  i also said i agree that it's a horrible way to end the game.  but that's the rule and i think it's silly to complain about the season coming down to a shoot out because both teams had plenty of opportunities during the regular season to get that extra point that they needed to lock up a playoff spot before the final game of the year. 

that makes no sense whatsover...its like saying the nfl overtime shouldnt have been changed since both teams had chances all game to win in regulation...one has nothing to do with the other...what happened in game 27 is not even closely related to determining a playoff spot in overtime of game 82

had the rangers or flyers won game 27 instead of losing it or finishing in a tie, game 82 (and it's shoot out to end it) becomes completely irrelevent.  i've seen you argue in the phillies threads in years passed when the phils got off to a bad april start how it would bite them in the ass at the end of the season.  and now you're making the exact opposite argument when it comes to hockey?  come on dooks.

really?  handle your business early on and the last game of the regular season will be practically insignificant.

i know what youre saying but what youre saying has nothing to do with the shootout argument to decide a playoff spot....they are two completely different arguments...actually yours isnt even an argument...youre stating fact by simply saying had the flyers or rangers won one more regular season game then yesterdays game wouldnt have mattered....we all know that already

and they're trying to do all fancy shtein, especially the GAWD, farger needs to go back and look at what works for him.  Hustle and smart plays.  Instead he threads impossible passes thru 3 defenders.

nah, maybe back in 2004 i would feel ok wiht a 1 goal lead.  With this team im not comfortable until a 5 goal lead.
