I still want to see the Eric Allen pick return against the Jets after Randall got hurt and was standing in the end zone where EA returned it.

Greatest INT return ever.

one of the great eric allen stories ever is in i think 89 when seth joyner was bitching about his contract in the locker room before the minnesota? game that they had to win and eric who was in his second year called out seth in front of the whole team and told him to shut the farg up and play ball

like 3-4 years after that joyner said it was the biggest punch in the face he ever took in his career on or off the field and how much he and the locker room respected what allen did

i dont give a farg what anyone says those teams under buddy were the greatest thing to ever happen to pro sports...its just a shame that no one (including a lot of eagle fans) dont recognize it
i can take a phrase thats rarely heard...flip it....now its a daily word

igy gettin it done like warrick

All these memories are going to make me cry.  farging Buddy  I thought those teams from the late 80's were definitely going to win a few Super Bowls.  1988 Chicago  :boom 1989 Rams  :boom :boom 1990 Skins  :boom :boom :boom

a. most eagles fans werent born yet/not fans yet
b. those teams won 1 playoff game...under kotite

the key reason for eagle mania has been the winning coupled with the nfl lighting on fire. that wasnt the case in buddys days, which in itself makes it better cause it was just really the diehards who lived through it. and me. since i was 2.
Zero hour, Michael. It's the end of the line. I'm the firstborn. I'm sick of playing second fiddle. I'm always third in line for everything. I'm tired of finishing fourth. Being the fifth wheel. There are six things I'm mad about, and I'm taking over.

the bears game was the worst...to this day i havent gotten over that...over 400 yards of total offense...pretty much owned the game....and didnt win...i still see that keith jackson drop in my dreams

youre telling me the team didnt add middle aged fans with all the winning this decade?

people that were causal observers in the 80s?

please. happens when teams win, you get people jumping on.

back then the eagles were juuust becoming the big game in town and thats only cause the phils were going on their 6th awful season in a row.

No shtein? I never heard that story before. Was it in Bowden's book?

I was watching some of the Dolphins-Chargers 1995 playoff game on NFLN tonight and saw some ex-Buddy guys...obviously Byars and Keith Jackson...but Ron Heller too. I forgot all about him.

So that got me thinking about Randall's OL...man, what some brutal players they had there over those years.

4 Zendejas FGs (he missed one).  Touchdown called back.  Birds dominated that game and only put up 12 points.  I would have loved seeing the birds go up against the niners the next week.

the hate on the offensive line was overblown imo...the 91-94 lines were pretty awful....but the late 80's lines werent that bad...certainly good enough to win

i think from 87 to 91 the eagles had the most wins in the nfl other than sf and buffalo

as for that story i cant recall if it was in broken wings...probably was...but it was all in the media at the time

Gonna have to farg those middle aged ones up.  I've been livin' this shtein since 1971.  Ed Khayat and the impressive 6-7-1 finish.  I think that was the year I started drinking heavily or was it the year I started sniffing glue?

The offensive lines were farging brutal, IGY.

Stop.
