didn't he used to wear rib protection at some point or was that just another time he was injured?

MadMarchHare

Who farging cares, a 15 yd penalty won't change McNabb's broken ribs.  Jesus Christ.
Anyone but Reid.

Actually, ribs or not, if it's reviewed by the commish's office, there could be fines handed out, which I think would be warrented.

True, but the one guy, didn't see who, stuck his elbow right in Dmac's back.

It wasn't an elbow in his back, it was the guy's knee/leg as he went over him.

i initially thought he got punched in the nuts at first by the one guy coming in to punch the ball out.

it's only one rib.  like an appetizer or something.

Not how I saw it, but I'll look again.

We watched it like 10 times...a couple of times on super slo-mo.

Agreed - it looks like the defenders could get a pass on the momentum part, but the knee to the exposed back was gratuitous and could have been avoided.

For that, the pantywaists in the league office should bestow fines as indicated. Especially in light of all the league QB protection rules-enforcement blather during the pre-season designed mainly to save Farve's sack.

According to CSN, it's the first time since Kotite's last game (Xmas Eve 1994 at Cincy) that they had an offensive TD, defensive TD and special teams TD in the same game...

he wore a flak jacket or something in 05 when he got the sports hernia in the season opener in atl.

didn't kris jenkins, or someone else on the panther's d-line knock mcnabb out of the 03 nfccg with a late hit....also in the ribs?

Yeah a DT came down on McNabb with his knees late. It was late, there should of been flags and a fine should come but not one mention of it. Hmm I recall a few years back when they were playing carolina and a carolina linebacker hit mcnabb late and broke a few ribs. here we go. get feeley in here til vick is ready.
