Never thought I'd say it, but Vick really sounds like he has his head on straight. He gets it, especially as far as football. Really not a trace of all the pre-fab cliche and all the right things he was coached to say. He's genuine and spot on.

I was glad to hear he thought it was the right thing to go for the pass to Cooper, only it was a bad pass. That was always my thought - they had a good match up if they could exploit it and if you have a chance to ice the game you do it. Don't let up on the D and let them regroup by spiking the ball.

If the Eagles won with Vick making a good pass to Cooper, people would be singing his praises and a great majority of those who criticized the decision would be first in joining the chorus.

I dont see how they think their rookie #4 WR being covered by a good starting corner in Tramon Williams was a good matchup. Tramon was one of the league leaders in passes defended and had 5 picks.  How is this a good matchup for the Eagles?  There was still plenty of time on the clock to get things done and get ball in the hands of Jackson, Maclin or McCoy and move down the field for a score.

because size is the only thing that matters in the NFL and Cooper is taller, therefore it's one of the best matchups you can get.

exactly...it was a horrible match up

X and O wise it was the correct read.....but it was a terrible situation to be in having to trust riley farging cooper with the season on the line...and im not excusing the throw by any means which was obviously poor...but how bad was the effort by cooper to come back and play defense on the ball even just a little

size is good if you are throwing it up to randy moss or dwayne bowe....size is not good is you are hoping a riley cooper or hank baskett come down with the ball

It was a terrible decision, and an even worse pass, but I'm not ready to give up on him or trade him because of it. He played to damned good up 'till that point, especially considering what he had blocking for him. Without him there wouldn't have been a division championship, or playoffs, or even a .500 record. Get this man some help up front and see what this offense can really do. Hell, according to all accounts, this is the first year he'd ever studied a playbook, or looked at film. Get some help on the offensive line, franchise him, pay him what imo is a bargin price @ 5 mil. and roll with him for another year. I don't know why anyone who's an Eagle fan wouldn't want to see that happen.

franchise number for a qb would be closer to 20 million, shore.
