more nauseating passive aggressiveness from the bedwetter...

Quote
"My focus really has been over here," McNabb said before practice at taterskins Park. "Really, everything that's going on over there is really none of my concern. Anything I may say at this point really doesn't matter. They made a decision and that's what they're going with. We just have to focus on what we need to do here to get ourselves to 2-1."

Vick is coming off consecutive strong performances in relief of Kolb, who suffered a concussion in a Week 1 loss to the Green Bay Packers. Reid decided it was best to stick with the three-time Pro Bowler. Ironically, the Eagles traded McNabb - their franchise quarterback for 11 seasons - to the taterskins last spring, in large part because Reid believed Kolb was ready to become a starter.

McNabb said he has not spoken with Vick recently but "we text. But that's about it."

"Well, that's Philadelphia," McNabb said of the furor over who should start. "Things like that happen. I've been a part of that for 11 years. Obviously, as you said, it just doesn't stop."

Last week McNabb passed for 426 yards - his third career 400-yard game - and had a 119.0 passer rating. On Oct. 3, McNabb returns to Philadelphia for the first time since the trade as the Eagles host the taterskins at Lincoln Financial Field. Until then, don't bother him about his former team

"You know what, I'm truly focused on St. Louis," the team the taterskins play Sunday, McNabb said. "At this particular point, I could care less about next week. Obviously, that will change next week. My focus right now is just on St. Louis."

FYI to Sgt PSN: McNabb invented the word "fandom."

The BIGSTUD

All indications are that it was Reid's idea to bring in Vick in the first place. He had to convince Lurie to pull the trigger. But I don't think they ever intended to bring him in to just use the wildcat. They hardly ever used it and now all of a sudden the Eagles decide to become the masters of gadgetry?

I think Andy Reid was simply a Vick guy from the start and wanted him to be his QB of the future from the start. But he was going to stick by Kolb until Vick proved on the field he could revert back to his "superstar form" as Reid stated it. Once he did, he would burn any bridge in the process to get this man on the field. Looking back, you can see the signs in the preseason. He brought Vick in every other play. He obviously wanted this guy on the field dating way back before yesterday and even the season opener. The only problem was Vick didn't prove himself until then.
Calling it right on the $ since day one.
Just pointing laughing, and living it up while watching the Miami Heat stink it up.

did anyone have a tougher life than donovan mcnabb?
Zero hour, Michael. It's the end of the line. I'm the firstborn. I'm sick of playing second fiddle. I'm always third in line for everything. I'm tired of finishing fourth. Being the fifth wheel. There are six things I'm mad about, and I'm taking over.

Munson

Yeah all the stories coming out are that Reid wanted Vick and Roseman was the one that put up a fight first before saying okay farg it.

perhaps you could explain sd's reasons for "disliking" it as well since you seem to be so in tune with other peoples minds

Magical_Retard

Wanted him this season or last season
Marge: I have someone who can help you!
Homer: Is it BATMAN!!??
Marge: No hes a scientist
Homer: Batman is a scientist.
Marge: Its not BATMAN!

Explain why the answer to that question is not obvious.  Then explain why it would matter.

Put down the Kool Aid son. I hope Reid isn't that crazy.

so in other words he got vick to be the future at QB after using a 2nd round pick on kolb and in the process handed dallas a 1st round d-lineman. cool. sounds the coach had a plan and executed it perfectly. .

Two nuggets about Eagles from ESPN's Sal Paolantonio: 1. Kolb's concussion WAS a factor 2. Center M. McGlynn struggling to diagnose blitzes

But now SalPal says the concussion was a factor.

He is the only one reporting these two things and its not the first time he seems to be the only one with something. So either his sources feed him some crap or he's got the golden source. Which is it?

I think the answer is that no one cares.
Is rjs gonna have to choke a bitch?

Let them eat bootstraps.

sal pal is on earth to create controversy within the eagles (not that they need any help these days)...he absolutely despises them and the fanbase...in short hes a liar and shouldnt be believed when it comes to the birds
