all i said was he needs to get paralyzed on the field.

i don't think that's obsessive at all.

Longing for the days of Rhodes and Peete Ty Detmer Bobby Hoying Koy Detmer Doug Pederson, eh?

People have very short memories.

lol....other than possibly pederson your age was literally in single digits for every other one of those guys...in short....shut the farg up pissant

and phreak youre better than the average mcnabb apologist...you know that not having mcnabb doesnt = having rodney peete

not to mention i dont think romey was in any way saying mcnabb isnt a good quarterback...rather that he annoys him and would like to see him dead

You are bad at math, as Peete was the only one I was in single digits for.
And who gives a farg how old I was? I still remember it, quite well. I still remember the play Peete dropped back and tore up his knee when he tried to plant.

Of course not having McNabb doesn't = having rodney peete, but finding a new franchise QB is about as easy as...well, winning a super bowl. It's not. We as fans are lucky we've got a guy that gives the Eagles a legit  chance every year, instead of the dolphins/jets/taterskins/kansas city/etc and so on, who have been shuffling QB after QB for god knows how long. I don't care how old I was from 97-99....I still remember how much it sucked.

perhaps you could explain sd's reasons for "disliking" it as well since you seem to be so in tune with other peoples minds

lol at the 'chance to win ever year' joe banner minister of information bullshtein.

i would have gladly given up every winning year they had during Reid's tenure in exchange for a single super bowl win and anyone who says different is a farging retard.

Munson

So would I. And having McNabb at QB makes it a hell of a lot more realistic then going with some journeyman vet or hoping Reid gets lucky and drafts a Flacco/Ryan, and not a Alex Smith/Matt Leinart.

McNabb has had five cracks at merely winning the NFCCG and walked away with just one win.  How many more shots is that buffoon going to get before the Eagles turn the page and try another tack?

are you really putting it all on him?  don't get me wrong, mcnabb has had some terrible performances in the post season but that's only a part of the problem.  the defense, wide receivers and running game have all been problematic in one nfccg or another.

even though i'm a fan of mcnabb and think that he does have what it takes to win a sb, i can certainly understand why people would want to see a change at qb.......IF the eagles had a suitable replacement for him.  do you really think kevin kolb is the answer?  i doubt you do.  what about vick?  do you really think vick can take this team further than mcnabb can?  even before vick went to prison he wasn't half the qb that dmac is so after 18 months away from the game there's absolutely no way that anyone can think that vick is the better choice.

the day that mcnabb is no longer the starting qb for the eagles is the day that this team goes into full fledged rebuilding mode and if we're lucky, maybe we only have to wait 3 years to field a competetive team again.

you would do best not to seriously discuss football with 19 year old trailer park chain smoking refugees from delaware

i learned this a long time ago

The primary problem has never been McNabb. Even with his inaccuracy and poor decision making, the problem has always been the weapons around him. It showed pretty clearly when he had one at receiver. This year I'm willing to buy into the speed hype on offense, but I still don't think there's the talent around him to make Reid's genius gameplan work.

i had to deal with more michael vick questions tonight at the bar than you could possibly believe.  what really pissed off people is the fact that i was 100% in support of vick no matter what they said.  if someone brought up the dogs, i'd say the dogs had it coming.  if someone brought up his zesty pass completion percentage, i'd blame it on atlanta's offensive system.

in short, it was awesome.

i can't wait for the season to start.

ice grillin you

redi and/or mcnabb have no excuse this year....this offense should put up mad points...in the end they will lose because the defense is terrible...but if mcnabb doesnt put up the best numbers of his career then something is wrong....this offense should work the whole field all season long

His best numbers won't mean shtein if the defense doesn't hold up its end of the bargain. Or if Peters continues to be a revolving door at left tackle.

built in excuse a decade into your career is $$$$

McNabb's pretty good at avoiding trouble, but from what we've seen so far Peters is going to get him crippled.

so stud left and right tackles for a decade werent good enough?

i agree that the offense should be very potent and that the outcome of this season lies mostly in the hands of the defense.  but i don't know if this will be a "career" year for dmac.  his numbers in 04 were amazing and even though he has better players to throw to this year, i don't know if he'll be able to top 2004.  but your point still holds water.

ice grillin you

you make a valid point...this offense lacks an untouchable force like TO (unless pimp develops like he should) but still look around...weapons are everywhere...donovan should douche defensive pussssies this year
