I heard a guy on NFL radio this morning try to say that Vick's performance wasn't that impressive.  He said Garrard's against the Cowboys was just as good.  The host told him he made himself look small trying to downplay Vick's performance and hung up on him.

Eagles quarterback Mike Vick has been named the NFC's offensive player of the week, a day after Monday night's six-touchdown performance against the taterskins.

He's the first quarterback to win the award in consecutive weeks since Randall Cunningham in 1998, during the Vikings' 15-1 season.

Vick also was the NFC's offensive player of the month for September.

How bad did Laundry get bitchslapped on that play?? He was punked and bitchslapped on the same play. When Vick threw the ball, stinkin' laundry had coverage, but while the ball was in the air Pimp ran by him like he was standing still. Pimp has great speed, we all know what his 40 time is, but I'll tell you I think he's even faster on the field during a game. Some guys have that little extra they can call on, reach down and get, and that little extra ends up being a whole hell of a lot to the opposing defense. The Pimp is friggen' awesome man, and with Vick on the same team, and the connection they obviously have, it's gold. Vick knows he can cut loose with the ball and Pimp is gonna' be the only guy on the field that can go get his bombs.

It's a beautiful thing.

Don't forget Maclin

Between Pimp (3rd year), Vick, McCoy (2nd year), and Maclin (2nd year) is there anybody that runs over a 4.4 40? And aren't WRs supposed to take a few years to develop or is that a thing of the past?

It used to be that wr's took a while to develop but there have been a few exceptions, and now teams just don't wait too long and get rid of guys if they can't produce. No one has the time to wait anymore. Pimp took the league by storm, and Maclin might have taken a year but even in his first year you could see he was an exceptional player. After all these years bitching that Reid couldn't pick wr's, those two guys have made it worth the wait.

He's pretty amazing as an athlete. I was watching the pregame and Steve Young said, 'He's the greatest weapon at quarterback that there could ever be.' I totally agree with that. With the way he can move the football and his style of play, and when he throws the ball like he did last night, he's damn near impossible to stop.
