That Spanish team doesn't look right. Chemistry is off. Costa looks lost. Casillas with his worst performance. That team looked uninspired. Blind with a beautiful pass to RVP and what an incredible touch on that goal as he was diving.

Refs did their best to help the defending champs but there is only so much they can do.

Cahill is a madman, he just missed the equalizer. It helps that most Latin player are short.

The Spanish goalie made three or four spectacular saves in the last 15 minutes to keep it at 5-1.  I have never seen a team stop playing defense like that much less the best team in the world.   I can't even think of an instance where I've ever seen a team lay down like that in any sport.  That was just a complete disaster.  And I couldn't be happier about it.

really lame but they dont want late games because they are useless to the european market, which is the biggest consumers of this sport

germany and britain both outrated the usa for the opener and obviously the population differences are quite drastic
