doubtful because dallas chicago easily trumps any other game that could have been moved to 4pm last week...but even if true i dont know what it has to do with the sunday dallas eagle game not  being moved because dallas is in it

As it should. Regardless of how good or bad either team is, it's still the cowboys are still a national draw.

I see what you did there. But what I'm saying is that it's a game that draws ratings because it's a good rivalry, not just because Dallas is playing. Obviously Dallas is a good draw to begin with but this is a rivalry game that most people want to see anyway.

thats all true (altho you overrate a dallas philly rivalry in terms of nationwide appeal) as is the vick factor but the bottom line is that this game isnt on sunday night with any other 3-8 team but dallas

Very true. However, I've lived coast to coast and a few places in between and football fans generally tend to dig this rivalry. It's not Sox/Yanks big but it's stll legit.

skins cowboys is barely legit and its bigger than eagles cowboys

eagles cowboys is like any of a dozen other rivalries...its basically only a rivalry because its a division game....it of course ranks higher than something like carolina/tampa because of the history but it doesnt stand out nationally as some awesome rivalry

put it this way not a single person in the country is watching this game because of the rivalry aspect...same way no one around the country is tuning in to oakland denver because of their "rivalry" or minnesota green bay or jets dolphins ect....ect....ect...

I think the Skins/Cowboys overall is bigger, but in the last 20 years the Cowboys/Eagles is.  Over the last 15 years the Skins have only been relevant in FA.

Akers Named NFC Special Teams Player Of The Month
It's a special time for David Akers.

On Wednesday, Akers was named the NFC Special Teams Player of the Month for the second straight November. Tomorrow, Akers will set the franchise record for most games played.

In four games this month, Akers was successful in 13 of 14 field goal attempts. He had three games in which he had at least four field goals. Akers was also a perfect 13 of 13 in extra point attempts.

This is the fourth player of the month honor for the NFL's All-Decade kicker. He has also won the Special Teams Player of the Week honor seven times in his illustrious Eagles career.

For the year, Akers is 24 of 29 (82.8 percent) in his field goal attempts and leads the league with 104 points. He is also fourth in the league with a career-high 19 touchbacks. This is the 10th 100-point season of Akers' career and fifth in a row.

congrats to Akers. I wouldn't have thought he was this good the last few games, having been shakey before then and with several near misses recently. Good on him.
