And a quick googling verifies my theory, he had the flu at the NFL combine.

ice grillin you

i could have told you hes faster than 4.5 without googling anything

again...im not even sure how 4.5 got in this mix

your original theory was that he was in the 4.2 range...or did you just also randomly toss that out via a google search?

I think he's probably pretty close to that, but again it doesn't matter

I think we are in agreement that Shady is on the verge of being an elite running back, yes?

ice grillin you

no...but mostly because there isnt to many elite backs around

hes one of the better all around backs in the league and fits the eagles offense perfectly but i see nothing elite about him

of backs that arent elite id put him a notch below jamaal charles and arian foster and probably in a category with ray rice and rashad mendehaul

IGY...those ARE some of the elite backs now you dense mother farger. The definition of elite has changed with the NFL offenses.

perhaps you could explain sd's reasons for "disliking" it as well since you seem to be so in tune with other peoples minds

As a runner his greatest asset is his vision/instincts which counts for more than speed. As a player his best asset is his versatility. Although he can't do some things, like split out wide as Westbrook did, he's become a complete back and still improving.

It wouldn't surprise me at all if McCoy is the best RB in the NFC in the next year or two.

The strides he made from last year to this year were ridiculous.  He's 22 and he's going to keep getting better.  If anything I'll be surprised if he's not one the top 3 or 5 running backs in the NFL within the next few years.

this sums him up perfectly

i love his productivity and everything he does...i just dont see him doing anything elite...and i think theres any number of guys you could plug in the eagles system and they would spit out the same numbers that shady does...

now westbrook was elite...he had to be game planned for and was a td threat on every play...much like a chris johnson...a lot of shtein opens up for shady because of the people around him

i think the strides had to do with going from a rookie to a veteran...there should be massive leaps and bounds from year one to two...from here on out i dont see tons of improvement...i think what you saw him do this year is going to be around the norm with variations in either direction depending on how things bounce for him and the changes that are made on the team around him...kind of like what ray rice did last year compared to this

He's always reminded me of Bwest, it's those kinds of backs Andy Reid likes and he knows how to pick 'em.

This has easily become the worst thread on this board.  Mud Butt is looking pretty damn good right about now.
