By New Jersey, they mean North Jersey, therefore not mattering whatsoever here. Right?

Right?  :paranoid

why not portland, kansas city or memphis?
Zero hour, Michael. It's the end of the line. I'm the firstborn. I'm sick of playing second fiddle. I'm always third in line for everything. I'm tired of finishing fourth. Being the fifth wheel. There are six things I'm mad about, and I'm taking over.

why not contract six teams and start with tampa

they should do that in every sport but its not a logical plan.

getting rid of florida, arizona, tampa, kc, oakland and one other (dc?) would be great. yes.

yankees, red sox, tampa bay, kansas city, florida marlins, washington nationals?
I'm the Anti-Christ. You got me in a vendetta kind of mood.

move them north to Charlotte, then you don't have to worry about realignment or any of that BS

A quick Yankees note:  they signed Randy Winn, so Damon is all but finished there...

MDS

lol charlotte is a god awful sports town for everything except unc and duke.

im pretty sure a team would do okay in portland, its an up and coming leftist city that is really supportive of the blazers. pretty sure they would go balls in for a baseball team. youd just move them to the al west and have the al east be the 4 team division. more sox/yanks games!

attendance in miami will be fine once they have the new stadium finished.

the issue with the west coast of florida isn't that baseball can't make it there.  it's that the stadium is located 1/2 hour from downtown tampa in a place no one wants to drive to after working all day.  there's no mass transit either.  if they built a stadium with a retractable roof in downtown tampa they would get 30,000 a night there with no problems, especially if they continue to field competitive teams.

QB Eagles

The US biggest metro areas without a MLB team (all of these metro areas are smaller than Tampa):

Charlotte
Portland
Sacramento
Orlando
San Antonio
Las Vegas
Indianapolis

And hey, there's always Montreal.

well, miami is the 7th largest metro area in the country, so yeah, i'm pretty sure they can get 30K a night to show up.

the stadium is going to be freaking beautiful, dude.
