How much do the Eagles still owe the city.. oh yeah 8 Million.  Ed Snider is paying to keep every ice rink open in Philly out of his pocket.  farg the Luries/Banner

real talk

its absolutely incredible what they are trying to do...i dont rule out that someone in the street admin or even street himself verballed a deal...but the fact that they are going to go to court over it and try to get the deal validated is incredible...let it go pay what you really owe and move on...its staggering how much these people do not care one iota about anything cept their bottom line no matter how bad it makes them look or how wrong they are in what they are doing
i can take a phrase thats rarely heard...flip it....now its a daily word

igy gettin it done like warrick

That's the question, what do they really owe? They owed the city $8 million, but the Eagles said the city owed them $8 million for the canceled Ravens "bad turf" preseason game.

mikey418

How do you lose $8 million for one preseason game?

Are that tying that to advertising, food, parking?  I guess advertising $$ is the big one, both at the stadium and on the tele.

Seabiscuit36

They cant make that much advertising for a farging preseason game

Sgt PSN

is it the city's responsibility to make sure that the field is ready?

PoopyfaceMcGee

It's my dong's.  Sorry, he was busy for a change.

It was back then, since they owned the Vet.

completely missing the point

the shtein storm its gonna cost banner and co is priceless

i cant wait for the week before that game

No, I'm not missing the point.  The point is that the whole situation is ghey.  The guy's an idiot for posting that.  He should have been fired.  Any employer would do the same.  Dawkins should have signed for less money if he really loved the team/town.  The FO should have offered Dawkins more money if they really wanted him back.

Blah blah blah - We get it.

Truer words have never been spoken.

QuoteThe Philadelphia Business Journal found the Eagles to be the No. 1 charity-giver in its revenue category in the region. Ticket prices have gone from third-highest in the NFL to 15th under this ownership. National recognition of "Go Green," the team's groundbreaking environmental initiative, the Eagles Youth Partnership, Tackling Breast Cancer and so many other charitable programs should count for something.

See - the Eagles aren't that mean

ice grillin you

thats all christina and to a certain extent jeffy....they are great with charities and seem to be nice people

which makes the employment of banner inc. all the more puzzling

I take business courses and realize part of being a responsible business model in a large community is getting involved with charities and whatnot, but the 'Go Green' shtein is about as annoying as it gets. The last thing I want to hear or think about when I'm drunk and waiting for the game to start is a bunch of millionaire athletes telling me to recycle.
