Brian Kelly, the latest bullshtein artist. He was just like Saban straight lying that he had no interest in the Bama job.

He was on the Dan Patrick Show awhile back and was denying it and saying why would he leave Cincy when he was the guy who was out at town meetings and all that crap trying to get the community to focus on Cincinnati football again. I bought into it and he sounded sincere.

He poo-pooed the interest ND reportedly had in him as being honored and flattered (they hadn't fired Weis yet) but they had a coach and even if he did get fired then he wanted to build Cincy.

well normally you don't come out in public saying you want a job when you are already employed somewhere else.  regardless of where you work so i don't understand the problem.  who in their right might wouldn't take the ND job over cincy.

goldens name popping up possible for kellys replacement. so the central michs coach, bunch jones or whatever, who actually has won something.
Zero hour, Michael. It's the end of the line. I'm the firstborn. I'm sick of playing second fiddle. I'm always third in line for everything. I'm tired of finishing fourth. Being the fifth wheel. There are six things I'm mad about, and I'm taking over.

The fact Golden has even made Temple competitive in the MAC is amazing.

so brian kelly is the coach at notre dame now and will not coach cincy in the sugar bowl.  i know this isn't the first time this has happened, but i gotta say that i think it's absolute bull shtein that a coach can be hired by another school and quit on his current employer/school/team when there's still football left to play.  especially when it's a school like cincy where the players about to play in the biggest game of their lives.....far bigger than what anyone ever expected of them and in most cases, the biggest they'll ever play in.  and these kids are playing there because they bought into the line of bullshtein that kelly fed them in the recruiting process (probably something similar to what he said in his presser today) and he's basically turning his back on them.  farging disgraceful.

why the ncaa doesn't establish a rule forbidding schools from courting coaches before the final game of the year is beyond me.  or at least put a rule in place that prevents a coach from accepting a job with another school when there's still games left on the schedule.

Amen.

Totally agree. The ego-maniac coaches (and athletic directors and boosters) have helped ruin college football. People used to say they loved college more than the pro's because it wasn't about money, just about ballin'. That's not the case any more.

You guys are ridiculous.  If I had a job offer that I KNEW was better than the one I have now I'd take it without a second thought.  That's all Kelly did when he took the job in South Bend and he had every right to do it too.

farg the whiny douches he left behind anyway.   Hoydas.

Sgt PSN

can't say i blame kelly for taking the job, although i do think it's pretty dickish to turn your back on your team and leave them hanging in the wind before the end of the season.  i blame the system that allows the haves to rape the have nots a month before the biggest game in that school's history after the best season in the school's history.  it will probably take them 20 years to put together a season even half as good as this one was for them.

amen romey

and sarge you have to be allowed to get a coach as early as possible because january is a big month as far as recruiting goes...every day counts right now

the solution here is to compensate players in some way
