QB Eagles

farg, chaos avoided

that shtein at the end was sloppy too. a couple big nebraska penalties and then colt mccoy using the last minute of the game to move his kicker further away and almost accidentally run out the game clock

Nebraska's kicker is a chokin ass dog. Nice kick off out of bounds at the end...coupled with the horsecollar and the hope to see that fraud ass BCS bown up goes down the drain. I wanted to see Texas lose. Frauds. Their fans have turned me against them. About as bad as Cowboys fans.

What an AMAZING CFB day. I DVR'd the Pitt/Cin game and watched the Tex/Neb live at home. Caught the SEC game in a bar.

would you like the bcs system in the nfl?

tourney's at least put it in the players' hands, not some stupid farging computer that crunches numbers and picks 2 teams that it's programming "thinks" are the 2 best teams.

i don't really care it people don't think that some 13-0 team from the mac can't compete with the floridas, alabamas or usc's of the world.  as far as i'm concerned, you run the table then you should get a shot at the title.  if it's a blow out, oh well.  but even if a boise st or utah only wins 1 out of 100 times, at least they get their 1 which is more than they'll ever even get a shot at under the current system.

Rome

Watching dozens of Gators iceholes slink out of the bar after their shtein team got curb stomped was the highlight of my sports year.

Incredible games yesterday otherwise.  The Pitt/Cinci game was ridiculous.

its not just computers...there are voters involved as well....and while i love the nfl system as is....i dont think there are to many people that would be upset with computers and voters putting indy and new orleans in the superbowl

I trust the computers way more than I trust the voters. The computers can be set up to take all the factors that people think are important and to translate that into rankings without bias. The human polls are influenced by all sorts of bullshtein that has nothing to do with how good a team is.

I've seen a lot of computer rankings of the NFL this season... and believe it or not there are some that don't have Indy #2. It all depends on what criteria you set it up for.

Incidentally, the Eagles always do great in these rankings, because the Eagles always win fewer games than they statistically should. I guess no one's set up their models to account for teams coached by retards.

What if those voters decided a Favre/Manning matchup would be more entertaining and left the Saints out?

and if the NFL had a voting system, the 2005 Steelers and 2007 Giants wouldn't have been considered for one second

this discussion is awesome! long live the bcs!!

but yea, what if:
1 bama 8 osu/ga tech
2 texas 7 oregon
3 cinci 6 boise
4 tcu 5 fla

the teams that lose in the rd 1 are still eligible for bowl games (i.e. so if osu and oregon lose, they still play in the rose), the teams that lose in the semis play each other in some consolation bullshtein game a couple days before the title game. you can even call it the fiesta bowl.

who gets screwed? one of ga tech and osu. the both won their conferences and had 2 losses. oh well. you look at who they played and where they played and who they beat. maybe this will get those teams to actually challenge themselves in non conference outside of the made for tv big $$$ games like osu/usc thing.

if thats the deal next week how is not the greatest thing in the world.
Zero hour, Michael. It's the end of the line. I'm the firstborn. I'm sick of playing second fiddle. I'm always third in line for everything. I'm tired of finishing fourth. Being the fifth wheel. There are six things I'm mad about, and I'm taking over.

QuoteIn a question-and-answer session with IrishIllustrated.com Senior Editor Tim Prister, the post said Weis was asked:

"Is it frustrating to you Pete Carroll, for example, portrayed in one way ..."

The post said Weis responded:

"Let me ask you this question: You guys know about things that go on in different places. Was I living with a grad student in Malibu, or was I living with my wife in my house? You could bet that if I were living with a grad student here in South Bend, it would be national news. He's doing it in Malibu and it's not national news. What's the difference? I don't understand. Why is it okay for one guy to do things like that, but for me, I'm scrutinized when I swear. I'm sorry for swearing; absolve my sins."

Carroll said in a telephone interview that he was apprised of the report by Tim Tessalone, USC's sports information director.

"It's untrue, it's irresponsible, and it's incredible he'd be talking about me like that," Carroll said of Weis.
