of the qbs on your bench i think Smith is the best option.  the skins are going to Oakland and you have to think they've given up at this point.  Smith has better options on offense and he and Vernon Davis have a good connection.

if you are looking outside your team, Ryan Fitzpatrick would be a possible option.  they are at KC and he has a good connection with TO.

yeah...altho i dont really believe in overall nfl stats because i think every game is its own entity...i just looked at the cards pass defense..29th in the nfl...didnt realize it was that bad

Yeah you gotta start almost anybody against the Cards. Hell I'm starting Flacco vs the Lions today for the same reason. Plus Smith has been super consistent anyway.

Teams that have had lots of top 5 picks in the last ten years: Browns, Lions, Raiders

Teams that have not had a lot of top 5 picks in the last ten years: Colts, Pats, Steelers

If the Skins want to join that first group while the Eagles stay in that last group, it'd be fine with me. The draft is not the Super Bowl.

and all these years i was always under the impression that picking higher was better

so are you insinuating that all teams should just trade their first round picks?...and also does that mean a 4th rounder is better than a second rounder and so forth?

No, what I'm trying to say is that you are vastly overestimating the importance of draft position.
