i'm actually jealous of that schedule.  4 of their first 7 games are very winnable for them and they could probably beat the panthers too.  gotta give them a punchers chance against the eagles too since they took both games last year.  heading into their bye, the skins could be looking at 5-2 or maybe even 6-1.  final 2 home games against division opponents on nat'l tv then heading to san diego for a finale in january. 


of course, they'll farg it up like they always do.  but it's a good schedule.

i don't think the panthers were nearly as good as their record indicated.  not a horrible team, but not a dominant team either.  they got exposed in the playoffs too.  basically, i put them around the same level as washington.

Sanchez, Toler On taterskins' Radar

It's no secret that Washington taterskins team owner Daniel Snyder has grown enamored of USC quarterback Mark Sanchez, according to Jason La Canfora of the Washington Post.

However, the taterskins are also keeping a close eye on St. Pauls (Va.) cornerback Greg Toler, an emerging small-school prospect.

Toler, a Washington, D.C.. native who had a private workout and visit with the NFC East club, is reportedly under consideration for the taterskins' third-round draft pick.

Toler has 4.37 speed in the 40-yard dash.

Toler has visited virtually half of the NFL teams. Per the report, he has also made a good impression on the Baltimore Ravens, New York Jets, Miami Dolphins and the New England Patriots.

Man punched after removing Cowboys flag from car

WASHINGTON -- Police said a man was punched in the face after grabbing a Dallas Cowboys flag from a car in downtown Washington. D.C. police Lt. Eric Hayes said someone snatched the flag from a car as it was stopped in traffic Tuesday evening and apparently threw it to the ground.

Police and witnesses said that by the time the man crossed the street, someone exited the car and struck him in the face before driving away.

Police said the incident may have been motivated by team loyalty, or the motorist might not have wanted anyone to touch his car.

Police said a man was taken from the scene to be treated for a bruised forehead.
