He'll have to contort his body, dive, jump, and generally expend a lot more effort than he should.  And he'll get injured in the process.

at least there will only be a year or two of that then it will revert back to the soft lobs he seems to hate catching so much

Edwards over Boldin?

They need a large receiver that can go up and get the ball (a Burress type). Boldin is better after the catch and can catch the ball in stride as well as anyone, but the Eagles already have that in Curtis and Jackson. Despite the stats Edwards is the more talented receiver.

I don't care who it is as long as they get someone who can get separation and catch a ball during a crucial point of an important game after the defense doesn't show up.  I have no interest in seeing guys like Curtis trip/slip/get jammed/held and hope for a pentalty flag.  Is that so much to ask for?

I don't remember anything about Edwards' professinal career that would lead me to call him clutch. He's also not known for making the tougher definately-going-to-get-nailed-for-catching-this type of pass. That is what this team needs and that is what Boldin makes look easy. Jackson and Curtis are the burners, let Boldin and hopefully someone like Pettigrew work the underneath.
