Dawk was offered a lowball 1yr deal deal.

Why not give the guy a 2-3yr deal? Those extra years mean shtein. The guy flat out said his big money days are over so he doesn't expect to get caked off.

Several teams have begun to chase one of the members of the Cardinals' starting defense who hit the market little more than five hours ago.

Per a league source, the Buccaneers, Giants, Eagles, Texans, and Falcons have invited defensive end Antonio Smith for a visit.

Smith is in the process of coming up with a priority list of the teams, and then will finalizing arrangements for visits.

Not on the list yet are the Chiefs, where Smith's former defensive coordinator Clancy Pendergast is a member of the coaching staff.

1. Antonio Smith, DE, Arizona Cardinals
Smith is a natural pass rusher with good size. He played well down the stretch and was a good fit for the Cardinals' hybrid scheme, filling multiple roles in different fronts. Teams switching to a 3-4 scheme -- Green Bay, Kansas City, Denver -- could use a versatile guy like Smith.

4. Stacy Andrews, G, Cincinnati Bengals
Andrews has knee problems, but when healthy he is a big, strong player with long arms who can seal the edge and dominate in the running game. Despite his size, he moves well enough to block linebackers on the second level. Andrews, only 27, has experience at guard and tackle.

im not even a huge dawk fan but that is nauseating...christ use him as a special teamer if you want but with all the money they are holding you gotta overpay to keep the guy...he should not play with anyone but the birds

2. I agree; its nauseating and with 48M to spend there is no reason for them to be fargin around with him. Just sign the guy. If he ends up somewhere else, ala St. Louis or Minnesota it's going to be a crime.
