QB Eagles

Harrison's agent has confirmed that he's being released.

Magical_Retard

He thinks at his age and his diminished skill set he will still get the money he was making?  :-D

No way they should go for him but if for some reason by July he realizes he will not get to start or get the money he wants they should sign him for cheap, esp since the only upgrade at WR this offseason/draft will be a 5th round pick or something lower.

It'll be like getting Roy Green and Art Monk all over again.

HOF WRs who are at the end of their time.

The past and future Marvin Harrisons together at last!

ice grillin you

for those that would bring him in whose run does he get?

the eagles have plenty of decent wr's...what they need is ideally a one but at least someone who would become the best wr on the team if brought in

FWIW Spads mentioned on his forum that he would investigate it...so I guess it means that he is being discussed internally.

I don't want him.

Harrison and Jackson with Curtis being the 3rd guy?
Curtis and Jackson with Harrison relegated to the 3rd guy?

Both situations take away from Mr. Clutch's time as the 3rd down receiver. Jason Avant deserves more run.

Like you said....if they bring a WR in, he has to be leaps and bounds better than what they have and [Calipari]the Harrison of 10 years ago ain't walkin' through that door[/Calipari]

Rome

If Harrison comes with a time machine then I'm all for it.

Otherwise... ahhhhhhhhhhhhh no.

Well I do not want him...I was mostly joking that they might make a move like this and claim they "aggressively" upgraded the WR position. Truth be told they do not even need to since the OLINE is actually in need this time more than any other position.

My hope would be they re-sign Tra Thomas while waiting to see how Runyan bounces back, and then use one of the first 2 picks for a T while the other for the best TE/RB/WR on the board.

The Eagles are not going to make a move for any real #1 WR possibly available through a trade.

Sadly this is 100 percent true and 1000 percent disgusting.

Seabiscuit36

now because i dont want Harrison at his old gimpy age, there is a 98% chance the Eagles sign him on the cheap

I'd take Harrison on an Antonio Freeman 1 year type deal. Why not.

Roy Green!  Now your talking.  I can still remember Jeff Kemp throwing passes to him like it was yesterday.  And the Cowboys coming into the Vet and beating the birds to start the beginning of the Jimmy Johnson era (their JJ not ours) is still fresh in my mind.

See all you young bucks, you never forget this shtein.
