Rome

Boston is gonna get smoked.

What are they going to do on Sunday night for Red Sox replays when NESN is out?

PhillyPhreak54

Although I wish I was home for a big snowstorm. A good 1-2 foot hit is always fun

I ain't gonna hate the fact that it'll be 75 here tomorrow

Geowhizzer

It's not supposed to it 80 here again until Sunday.  Florida winter.

Eagles_Legendz

Looks like we're going to be on the lighter end of forecasts I think.

PhillyPhreak54

It'll be funny if this is a Bolaris Special and nothing happens

In the meantime I still get fired up with rage when I see the following;

News reports from the farging PennDot salt yards. Ok this is a state that is known for snow. Do we need to see the pile of salt and plows? We know the plows will be out. Thanks.

The empty grocery store shelves. If I owned a store I'd put every item out that doesn't sell for shtein right before a snowstorm and people are guaranteed to buy it along with the farging milk, eggs and bread.

Man on the street interviews about the snow. It's cold and snowy here on Broad and Chew...ok over to Dannnnnnnn Cuellar on Ogontz where it is also cold and snowy.

Munson

yeah been a real dud here so far. AccuWeather is still calling for 4-8 inches here, but almost everywhere else I've seen has downgraded us. Earlier the Big 3 were still calling for me to be right on the line between 3-6 and 6-10, but just now Fox had me down to 1-4.

perhaps you could explain sd's reasons for "disliking" it as well since you seem to be so in tune with other peoples minds

Eagles_Legendz

yeah looks like even three inches is optimistic at this point.  went west (saw that Happy Valley got around 8 inches/Pitt got 9) but the eastern bands never pushed back west towards WNJ or EPA so there's a huge gap all up eastern PA where basically no snow hit.  That being said, it looks like a bust all along NJ and NY too in terms of the record predictions and models (even from this morning).  Bleh.  Really wanted tomorrow off and a huge storm since I haven't seen one in a while having been in the south the last few years.

MDS

some dude said we're still getting 10
Zero hour, Michael. It's the end of the line. I'm the firstborn. I'm sick of playing second fiddle. I'm always third in line for everything. I'm tired of finishing fourth. Being the fifth wheel. There are six things I'm mad about, and I'm taking over.

Eagles_Legendz

It's still moving west but looks like it's hitting a wall all along NJ and basically stopping.  Doesn't seem like the big bands will make it through NJ.

pretty impressive to go from the Inquirer front page today saying 12-22 in Philadelphia to maybe an inch in 24 hours.

phattymatty

got maybe a half inch outside my place. probably not going to work today.

Seabiscuit36

Ha, same here.  Holy shtein they missed this one.  EPA Weather Authority is taking the blame and saying it was just like Superstorm Bolaris.  I never even had to break out a shovel.

It hasn't disappointed here. The surrounding roads don't look like roads at all. The city opened up a parking garage to stash cars for free since there's nowhere to park on the street

SD

Didn't have to use 4 wheel drive on my way to work this morning
