the OT system is fine from the players and coaches point of view to prevent injury--they could care less what the fans think

if you cant win it in regulation your fault--deal with a coin toss

also, some of the new rules changes are extremely gay.  especially the one where you can't go for the qb from the ground.  what a crock of shtein, you're just supposed to lie there now?

agree...the worst rule change yet. I guess they are making you get up off the ground to make a tackle? so basically if you fall down or get blocked to the ground good luck getting up in time to make a play

ice grillin you

thats the worst rule ever
i dont understand it or get how its even gonna be enforced

the ridiculous part is that the rule was born from the brady injury and if you watch that play the player gets off the ground and dives at bradys leg...he didnt tackle him from the ground

it still would be a joke but they might as well just say no tackling the qb below the waist because they way i read the rule now is gonna cause all kinds of problems due to its vagueness
i can take a phrase thats rarely heard...flip it....now its a daily word

igy gettin it done like warrick

im the board pharmacist....always one step above yous

phattymatty

yeah its extremely retarded.  basically it's saying that if the defensive end hits the ground, the QB could run over and stomp on him quick and the guy on the ground can't do anything.  it would be very funny to see but wow thats dumb.

QuotePLANO, Texas (AP) - A police officer pulled over an NFL player rushing to see his dying mother-in-law, drew his gun, threatened the player with jail and held him in the hospital parking lot as she died, officials said Thursday.

Officer Robert Powell told his commanders he drew his gun but did not point it, Dallas police spokesman Lt. Andy Harvey said. That was disputed by the wife of Houston Texans running back Ryan Moats

threatened with charges of impersonating a running back

Edit: shtein, missed this in the Ex-Eagles thread

Rome

You might say the pig dropped the ball where Moats is concerned.

You might.

What, suddenly the Ravens and Browns are too good for the Eagles?

And the Steelers are afraid of the Eagles physical play. Plus, being the World Champions they have nothing to gain and everything to lose in the battle of PA.

rjs246

Yeah, there's nothing more terrifyingly physical than Kevin Kolb passing to Hank Basket 74 times.
Is rjs gonna have to choke a bitch?

Let them eat bootstraps.

That's nearly 8,000 yards of offense!

and don't forget the hell Leonard Weaver would unleash on that defense

PoopyfaceMcGee

Forget Weaver.  Watch out for IGY's favorite - LoBo!

QuoteBroncos will try to move unhappy Cutler
ENGLEWOOD, Colo. -- The Denver Broncos said Tuesday they will grant Jay Cutler his request and try to trade the disgruntled Pro Bowl quarterback.

There is no shortage of teams interested in the 25-year-old rocket-armed Pro Bowl quarterback.

Broncos owner Pat Bowlen released a statement saying both he and coach Josh McDaniels had been unable to get Cutler to call them back over the last 10 days. Bowlen said he spoke with Cutler's agent, Bus Cook, on Tuesday and came away convinced "that Jay no longer has any desire to play for the Denver Broncos."

Therefore, Bowlen said, "We will begin discussions with other teams in an effort to accommodate his request to be traded."
