Interesting stat I'll just throw in this thread and that is the Eagles D has scored more TDs (3) than they've let up (2) in the month of December

It's only a six hour drive

Yeah, but the guys I was going with are in DC, which was $1300.
Anyone but Reid.

... and of those 2 TD's... one was in garbage time, the other was an 18 yard drive.

Supply and demand - everyone going to Minny is connecting through ORD.  There was a bit on CSN about Eagles fans going after tickets.
An ad hominem fallacy consists of asserting that someone's argument is wrong and/or he is wrong to argue at all purely because of something discreditable/not-authoritative about the person or those persons cited by him rather than addressing the soundness of the argument itself.

for real.  what kind of backwoods country is this that you can't take a train between a city with five and a half million people and another 1200 miles away with three million?

Try flying into milwaukee instead of Chicago, I usually find cheaper flights out of there.

Also as of this morning there are still 11,000 tickets left :-D

Is anyone going to the game?

MadMarchHare

I'm actually half-way between O'Hare and Mitchell (Gurnee).  The problem is the cheapest flights from Milwaukee are similarly priced, and connect through O'Hare. :boom
Anyone but Reid.

QuoteEDEN PRAIRIE, Minn. -- The NFL has given the Minnesota Vikings and the Arizona Cardinals extensions to sell more tickets and avoid local TV blackouts of their playoff games this weekend.

Arizona hosts the Atlanta Falcons on Saturday, and the Philadelphia Eagles play at Minnesota on Sunday.

The Cardinals have until 4:30 p.m. EST Thursday to sell their remaining 5,600 tickets.

As of midday Wednesday, the Vikings had 11,000 tickets to sell by 4:30 p.m. EST Friday to satisfy the league's sellout requirements and ensure the game will be broadcast. Help from the Fox affiliate and corporate sponsors is possible.

The Vikings haven't been blacked out since 1997.

The Eagles are encouraging their fans to take advantage of the supply and travel to the game.

I don't understand how you can have zero blackouts for 11 years yet still have 20,000 seats available for a playoff game.  I could see a few thousand simply because the Vikings don't require season ticket holders to purchase playoff tickets (like the Eagles do, incidentally) but 20,000?  WTF?
