12 passing plays to 9 running plays in the first half. The run was completely abandoned when the Eagles entered desperation mode and it become obvious that nothing offense-wise could be established (either run or pass) and only a big play could help them score. The more balanced attack in the first half yielded zero points.

Still, how many times do we need to see McNabb throw a very low 8-yard pass down the middle? If they wanted to be pass wacky they should have tried the deep ball more.

How the hell did the Eagles ever enter desperation mode? At worst they were only ever down by one score all game? When your best player is a running back you hand the ball off to him more than 12 farging times. Oh and way to go Reggie for positioning himself on the one-foot line for the last catch. The prick. Getting swept by the Skins is an absolute disgrace and to score three farging points in a must-win game when results went so well for the last two weeks is the final straw. Bye bye fat mor(m)on.

And remember of those 12 carries to Westbrook 2 of them were on that bizzare sequence at the end of the half where the Eagles ran the ball seemingly to run out the clock and go into halftime but then called a timeout and ran it again to finish the half.

Its like Reid was padding the #s to make the ratio seem better.

just watched the game, after i had to pass out for 5 hours with a migraine after trying to understand the first half.

to sum it up, the continuation of the first series in the second half went something like reverse (reggie brown penalty), pass, run, fumble.  typical.

The offense couldn't do much of anything. In the passing game, McNabb was inaccurate, and throwing into relatively high wind at receivers who had difficulty getting open and even more difficulty holding onto the ball. In the running game (the few times it was used), an obviously less than 100% Westbrook was not doing much against a taterskin defense with a minimum of 8 men in the box on almost every down. Add onto that really zesty field position and brutal third downs throughout the game and you get what we had.

The team has had a few games like this already this year. Coaching and execution were both piss poor.

If only this team had other running backs on the roster, maybe Reid would have called more runs. I can't believe he went into the season with just Westbrook on the roster.

Westbrook being hurt is a stupid reason to abandon the run. He's never 100% after the first play of the season.

the thing is, those drives are consecutive.  1 right after the other.  yet he still trys to force his god damn square peg through the round hole.  it would make sense if those drives were scattered.  but 1 after the next after the next after the next after the next.
