Even if this team runs the table, the chances of making the playoffs are not good. It would, however, guarantee a few more years of Andy Reid. So yeah, Monday-Saturday I'll be rooting for this team to lose every week. Sunday will probably be different despite my best efforts. But I am resigned to the fact that winning these games accomplishes nothing positive.

The thing is, even if they lose out, Reid probably gets a pass.  And McNabb will probably be sent packing even if they win out.

Like you, I root for laundry.

I can actually agree with that.  I cheer for them to win when them losing out is probably the best thing for them as a franchise and for me as a fan with a rooting interest in them.

In terms of the actual game, I really need them to win this one because the thought of listening to my mongoloid of a brother in-law talking shtein about the Giants sweeping the Eagles again is just too sickening to consider.

He's a Giants and Red Sox fan, believe it or not.  Plus he likes the Devils in hockey, so he's pretty much the worst human being on Earth.

Oh, well in that case when he gives you shtein after the Eagles lay a big turd, remind him that an Eagles fan is balling his sister.

Losing this game shouldn't be much of a problem right? 

The run D looked good against the Cards, because they run about as often as the Birds.  I'll soil myself if the Eagles can take away the Giants running game in similar fashion.

But the only options are run the table and make the playoffs (and light Andy on fire) or lose out, fire Andy, and start rebuilding.

Stop. The Cowboys have 8 wins. The Panthers have 8 wins. Even if the eagles win out they aren't making the playoffs.

you guys do realize that even if they lose every remaining game on the schedule reid will no be fired right?

the chances of him leaving/being fired are about the same as the team making the playoffs.

still like rome and rjs said...come sunday i cant help but to root for them and get angry when they lose.

i say giants win by 2 TDs at least. unlike the eagles they will make adjustments from the first match up, bring pressure on mcnabb, take westbrook out of the game again, and throw even less than they did the first time and run the ball on every down.

but beating the giants would be great. i could walk into work and talk shtein for a whole week to my coworkers, cousins, friends, and random strangers in Manhattan.
