Brent Celek will start for Eagles TE L.J. Smith. On defense, the Eagles will start Will linebacker Akeem Jordan for Omar Gaither, believing he can stick with Ravens rookie RB Ray Rice.

I'll just repeat what I've been saying since the pre-season: Gaither needs to be moved back to the middle, Bradley back to the SAM, and Jordan or whoever can start at the WIL. Gocong becomes a situational DE. That they put 3 years into Gocong at the SAM doesn't mean its worked and they should stick with it.
Smith will probably wind up with the Vikings next season.

Bradley is better at MLB than Gaither was. OG got ripped inside. He is the definition of a WIL.

I disagree big time, Gaither was fine in the middle last season, the run D wasn't as bad as it is now.

Couldn't give less of a shtein about Smith being benched.  He's a loser, plain and simple and he should have been shown the door years ago.  Gaither, on the other hand, I don't see why he's being benched.  He hasn't played that badly, certainly not as badly as Gocong.

This team is hot garbage any way you look at it and moves like this reek of desperation.  It's quite pathetic, actually.

He's also been mediocre.  Celek is no superstar, but at this point, he's just as effective as L.J. (not saying much) with more upside (saying even less).

stop it...none of the linebackers are nfl starters period...and they are borderline back ups...stop trying to switch positons with them and put square pegs in round holes...thats what the front office wants...cut them all get mother fargin athletes in here and start over
