i couldnt agree more...ironically when all is said and done mcnabb might actually be turned into a martyr by banner and co.

And the Giants defense is that good and they put up 31 points on em 3 weeks ago.

This has been the Eagles MO for most of this season...play up to good competition, but not QUITE good enough to win the game (Dallas, Washington, NYG) generally by getting off to slow starts and/or not being able to finish the game.

The Cardinals game will probably end up being something like 33-29 or some weird high score like that. Eagles lose by 4 again.


This game was 10-7 at halftime and McNabb should not have been benched.

i love people like munson. its great to see how not to act. like i have this roomate thats just a complete piece of shtein, and every time he does something or says something, i then know not to do it that way because if he did it, it is wrong and dickholeish.

so the same goes for munson. when he says something, it is wrong. you should do the opposite. if you have the same opinions as munson or jump to the same conclusions as him, then you are doing something wrong and must re-evaluate the situation.

i actually like munson for this aspect.

Then again, the Ravens expected plenty of chances for picks.

"They've been throwing the ball 40-plus or 50-plus times a game. You throw the ball like that, eventually, you know, something's got to give," Reed said. "Either you're going to have an awesome offense and everybody's going to be talking about you, which rarely happens when you're throwing the ball 50 times because you have no running game."

The Eagles entered yesterday's game averaging about 40 pass attempts per game and about 24 rushes, a little more than a 60/40 split. Subtract the 35 runs by the scrambling McNabb and gimmick-play ballcarrier DeSean Jackson, a wide receiver, and the split is more like 65/35.

"It's not just one guy. It's not just McNabb," Reed continued. "Your offensive line might be struggling a little bit. You're not running the ball as much. You've got to help your quarterback in this league. You can't just drop back and throw the ball the whole time. We knew that coming into this game. When you become that predictable, it's going to happen. Especially against a good defense."

Certainly, McNabb's recent performance warranted head coach Andy Reid at least considering replacing him. It's just that the Ravens couldn't believe they would be facing . . . who was it again?

"I think it was unfair to bench Donovan. I was glad. Donovan's an All-Pro quarterback," said Samari Rolle. "I'd never heard of Kevin Kolb."

Players around the league are just watching in amazement at Andy Reid and the little world he's living in.

Two weeks in a row a member of the opposing team has publicly said that Reid's play calling is so predictable, that they knew the game before it happened.

If it was Ravens and Giants?  Ravens and Titans?  Ravens and even Cowboys, you could sort of understand that these are good teams that got to be good by game study.  But the freaking Benglas knew?

Time is gone, Reid.  Pack up all your fat clothes and head out.
