I don't know why Eagles fans get so worked up for games against New York.  New York fans barely know we exist so why should we care about them so much?

"We've got to show them who the big dog is," Eagles defensive end Trent Cole said after practice yesterday. "This is the best show on Earth in 2008. You thought the Dallas game was big? This is bigger. This is really big."

Agreed.

Huge game.

I'm nervous about it because of what I said in the other thread; Eli working the ball down the field to Smith and Burress with Jacobs/Ward cleaning it up on the ground.

If the Birds want to win, the defense has to man up and Pimp needs to take one to the house.

Zero hour, Michael. It's the end of the line. I'm the firstborn. I'm sick of playing second fiddle. I'm always third in line for everything. I'm tired of finishing fourth. Being the fifth wheel. There are six things I'm mad about, and I'm taking over.

2006 christmas day?

almost two years

Certainly it was the last time they won a prime time game, so yes - book-end games it is. But that stat doesn't bode well - like Cap'n Andy against AFC teams with a winning record.

I agree this is a defining game. Win and all things are still possible (week-to-week of course) for this edition/era of the birds. Lose convincingly and the slide to mediocrity resumes in earnest, never mind any wild card appearance later this season. The Gints are beatable, the birds can do it, but can they put together 4 qtrs against a winning team? Heck, against any team?

This is a big game and I widdle the carpet a little bit every time I think about it.
Endless regression to the mean

Win this game, and I won't be able to help but to start thinking Superbowl.

win this one and i start to think they could lose next week cause they will think too much of themselves.

I've got a feeling that this is the game the idiot proves me 100% correct. I look forward to his 4th quarter fumble inside the 20.

The man. The myth. The legend.

You're going to have to be more specific.  Which idiot?
Anyone but Reid.
