ESPN says Willingham and Olson go to the Nats for Bonafacio and 2 minor leaguers.

Also Phils/Braves will open up the baseball season Sunday night.
Zero hour, Michael. It's the end of the line. I'm the firstborn. I'm sick of playing second fiddle. I'm always third in line for everything. I'm tired of finishing fourth. Being the fifth wheel. There are six things I'm mad about, and I'm taking over.

-- Jimy Williams decided not to return.  Goodbye successful double switches...  :(

-- During his Los Angeles tour last week where he was on Jim Rome's show, Best Damn Sports Show Period, Dancing with the Stars and interviewed at a Clippers/Lakers game,
Hamels was also on Ellen's show

I'll always care about and follow my teams but honestly I don't care if they go 0-162 next season. They get at least a 5 year pass. Their championship is certainly softening the Eagles/PSU/Sixers/Flyers blow.

Chris McPherson is looking more and more like a douche every day.  He'll take over for Spadaro in a year or two.

I'm the Anti-Christ. You got me in a vendetta kind of mood.

Sunday Night Opener

QuoteThe Phillies won the 2008 World Series title, beating the Tampa Bay Rays in five games.

Still boner-inducing every time.

1986 was a pretty good year, yes.  Especially for the Phils.

I farging loved Glenn Wilson.  I was watching on PRISM when he pitched and struck a guy out.

i'm glad they broke the drought and all, and if this was just thrown together like the 93 team then i wouldn't expect much in the future.  the fact is though they have a nice core of talent here that they can probably keep together for a few years so i'd like them to at least give it a go at one more.  at the very least though keep the division away from the farging mets for the time being.  to do that they need to replace burrells bat or get another pitcher.  i dont think we can expect moyer to duplicate the same year, nor can we hope a starter is going to develop in spring training between kendrick, carassco and company.  basically you can't lose rowand and burrell in back to back years and not replace the production in the lineup, and if you dont address their loss you have to get better in another area.
