I would have cut Metropolit, he can't finish to save his life and doesn't give you as much as Dowd did in the intangibles department.

Powe is a cheaper version of Metropolit, i still dont know why they signed him when they had Downie on the team at the time.

I just didn't understand it from a financial standpoint and I like what I've seen from Powe.  I don't think they can get any takers for Jones.

Jones needs to get injured again, he is so bad its sickening.  He cant shoot the puck without hitting someones shins in front of him, he cant defend one on one and refuses to hit anyone, shtein the hit on Bergeron was all Patweece's fault

If there is one thing as certain as death and taxes it's this: There is always something new and intriguing going on with the Flyers and it most often has to do with injuries and possible comebacks from aging free-agent superstars.
In a conference call that started as an update on today's surgery that will keep Danny Briere off the ice for a minimum of 4 weeks, general manager Paul Holmgren said he has inquired about the health of Peter Forsberg.

That relevation came at the end of an interview and didn't actually sound a news item. But being Forsberg, and now that the Flyers are without Briere for at least the next 11 games, it is news that will make headlines across the hockey world.
