oh and going along with how much akers sucks....it would have been nice if they went for that 4rth and 1 earlier in the game instead of attempting a 50 yd FG.

I'm sitting at home and knew that Akers would miss both of those FGs, how does Reid not know? My guess: Reid has trust in Akers from years past, and whatever number Akers tells Reid before the game is the number Reid figures Akers can make.

Even though they didn't have Westbrook, one play I would have liked to have seen down at the one is the fake handoff to the FB up the middle and counter pitch to the HB. Buck is fast enough to outrun most players to the pylon there.

where's the slants?  where's the short hooks?

time after time mcnabb is peeled off the ground, watching the replay all wr's run straight for 5-7 yards (or longer) then break.  the only time he did the dink and dunk shtein was when they drove the ball all the way down the field starting at the 10 min mark in the 4th quarter.  then our redzone offense choked, but where the farg was that playcalling when it was obvious the "hail mary" WCO wasn't working?

i have to agree with this. they get the occasional deep ball or pass play over 20+ yds but they dont have the WRs to consistently do that. the dink and dunk works. you cant just go to it at the last minute though because it does eat up the clock. if you do that all game you keep their offense off the field and keep marching down the field.

and did i mention how much REGGIE BROWN SUCKS? he makes absolutely no difference whatsoever. i dont even think chicago realized that he was back or that the starting WR for the eagles was back from a injury.

and this is going to sound real bad but i was looking for baskett all game. WHERE WERE THE PASSES TO HIM?

anything might have worked. but running up the middle 4 times in a row? when its obvious your line is not getting the push you need?

its like reid was running out of plays...even running the shovel pass to avant. they dont have other plays so they have to substitute other plays for those same plays.

i was looking for a WR screen all game. just like the reverses to desean jackson....those famous PINKSTON 1 YD screen passes could have worked.

In hindsight it's easy to come up with other plays the Eagles should have tried down at the goal line, but the fact of the matter is the plays as they were called would have resulted in a touchdown if they had been executed properly. Each of those plays failed on multiple fronts, and while Andy deserves blame, he's not the only one who should be eating a shtein sandwich over what happened down there.

That's the problem. Reid should have taken note of the fact that earlier in the game Buckhalter couldn't run straight into the heart of the Bears D and get a yard, why think it'd be different now. They could have spread the formation out a bit and blast buck inside with a Klecko/Hunt lead to clear a small lane... bah this is futile, nothing will change with Reid in charge.

just got in from the game, good showing by the eagle fans, had a blast. Motherfarger the play calling was brutal. How the farg do we let chicago beat us. at least psu won and the phils are in, but farg what a let down.
