He used to be great.  He's not anymore.  Is he still capable of hitting a 50+ yarder?  Yes.  Is it a better bet to go for it on 4th and less than 80?  Yes.

The Bears have 8 in the box all the time, there's no where to run the ball. This is one game they need to stay pass heavy.

Everyone calm down, it was a 50 yarder...and yes he was miraculously accurate from that his first couple years here and that spoiled us as fans. Akers has looked better on the shorter and more realistic field goals so far...lets not burn him at the stake for missing a 50 yarder.

Fact is Reid shoulda went for it there.
