You're from St Louis and a Cardinal Fan?

How could you root for a team that up a left the city you grew up with watching them in?

I think I have lost the last bit of respect I ever had for St Louis "sports fans"
I don't live in St. Louis, but close. I can't help it and if I could I would. If your Eagles left Philly would you still love them? Even if Philly shunned them and wouldn't give them a place? Thats me. You need how to learn to read first then draw thought. LOL

Please show me something, ANYTHING AT ALL that makes you think Kevin Kolb could be the QB of this franchise for years to come.

I beg of you. PROVE ME WRONG PLEASE!

NOthing in his college gametapes that I watched on here after the draft, nothing I have read about him or seen from him has given me an INKLING of "wow, he has some potential to lead an NFL team to a Super Bowl for years to come...a true superstar in the making"

Nothing. Nada.

So roll your eyes and try to throw it in my face all you want. I beg you to prove me wrong.

dont hate on Kolb. he is way better than McNabb could ever be. what has McNabb ever done? when McNabb was winning it was in a very poor NFC and even then he struggled. plus with McNabb you know an injury is bound to occur sometime during the season. seriously when was the last time McNabb played a whole season? lets face the facts. McNabb has made a career on beating up on bad teams.

Kolb is a born leader and gives us the best chance at a SB win. McNabb is a bum that is more interested in being a superstar than winning the big one.

McNabb could be the starter for the next 10 years and we will have zero SB wins to show for it.

its time to move on.

QuoteHeckert: We can win Super Bowl with our WRs
By REUBEN FRANK
phillyBurbs.com

Greg Lewis plus Hank Baskett plus DeSean Jackson plus Jason Avant plus Reggie Brown plus half a season of Kevin Curtis equals a Super Bowl. That's what Eagles General Manager Tom Heckert believes.

Heckert said in an interview on the team's official web site that the Eagles can win a Super Bowl without adding a wide receiver.

Even with starter Kevin Curtis out indefinitely, starter Reggie Brown out at least until opening day and nobody else on the roster who's ever had 600 yards in a season.

Heckert said he hears fans clamoring for the so-called "No. 1 receiver" but warned that such a guy is not in the team's plans.

And he said that no, he's not lying.

"We all hear it, everybody hears it — "Why don't we have a big stud,'" Heckert said. "But if you can get that out of your mind for one second — I know it's difficult for a lot of people — but we think we have six really, really good receivers.

"They've all played well when they've got a chance to play, Hank (Baskett) a couple years ago made some big plays for us, Greg Lewis has made big plays — in the Super Bowl scored a touchdown — Jason Avant we think is going be a super inside player, and then you add DeSean (Jackson) to the mix, and we think we have a very good group of receivers.

"I know everybody thinks we're lying and not telling the whole truth that we can win with these guys, but we think there's no question in our minds we can win the Super Bowl with these receivers."

Heckert did allow that the Eagles are in constant contact with other teams exchanging ideas about various players as cuts approach.

"There are some definite spots we're looking at to try to upgrade," he said. "We talk to teams every day, and I think it will start heating up in the next week after this game where people start finalizing their rosters and figuring out their last 53 guys.

"You never say never. We're willing to make a move if there's somebody out there who can help us."

Dawkins mourns Upshaw

Eagles safety Brian Dawkins and owner Jeff Lurie, who both worked closely with union head Gene Upshaw for several years, reacted with shock and sadness yesterday following the announcement that Upshaw had died Wednesday evening, only four days after being diagnosed with pancreatic cancer.

Upshaw, who led the NFLPA through several labor disputes and into the league's most prosperous era in his 25 years as executive director, died at his home in Lake Tahoe, Calif. He was 63.

"I don't know the situation of when he was diagnosed, I don't know any of that information," said Dawkins, the Eagles' player rep and a member of the NFLPA's executive committee. "To have someone of Gene's age and the way he carried himself, to all of a sudden receive a phone call that Gene has passed away was a huge shock to me."

Upshaw, a first-ballot Hall of Fame offensive lineman, became NFLPA executive director in 1983. It was under his stewardship that the union gained free agency, player salaries skyrocketed and benefits improved dramatically.

"From where the union started to where it is today is leaps and bounds," Dawkins said. "A lot of that credit has to go with Gene and what he stood for. He stood his ground on a lot of key issues. With the backing of the players he was able to get us in a pretty good position in terms of health benefits with the presidents at the time, be it Troy (Vincent) and Trace (Armstrong). They worked to get us in a very good position, and he's left us in a very good position."

Curtis undergoes surgery

Curtis, who suffered a sports hernia during the Eagles' preseason game against the Panthers, underwent surgery yesterday, the team announced in a brief statement.

The procedure was performed by Dr. William Meyers at Hahnemann Hospital in Philadelphia. Meyers also repaired Donovan McNabb's sports hernia in 2005.

Reid said on Wednesday that Curtis had a "slight" tear and said he would be out "a while." Reid said he would know more about Curtis's prognosis after the surgery, but Reid was not available yesterday and the club provided no update on Curtis's prognosis.

drivel? pls. when was the last time McNabb played an entire season?  the guy is injury prone and was never that great of a qb. sure he has tremendous arm strength but lacks in the decision making department. he should have been traded long ago. McNabb will continue to do just enough to keep his job but will never ever win a SB. when it matters the most McNabb will be found either joking around or covering the field in puke.  :-D

Simple question: Who gives you a better chance to win this season, Mcnabb or Kolb?
