Pretty much what I thought.  A lot of rain, some wind.  I slept through the worst of it.

House is fine, but I'll have to clean up a lot of damn palm fronds from the yard... again.  :boom

Looks like about 5-7 inches of rain no real damage anywhere.  Actually good to get the rain, we've been fairly dry this summer (by Florida standards).

Schools are closed here today and tomorrow.  Of course, the county offices are open which means I have to work, but otherwise, nothing bad yet.

It's raining like a mofo on and off, but we're getting periods of sun too.  Weird.

That's no biggie. I had to deal with that all of last year, and I didn't have any tropical storms to blame it on.

On the ticker of the newscast today:  "The City of Naples is closed."

The weather looks absolutely ducky in Daytona today, Rome.

They sent me home because the bridges to get over to the island are getting ready to be closed.  It was really frigging bad where I where which is about 20 miles south of my house.  50-60 mph winds and torrential rain.

And we have that to look forward to until at least Saturday.

Yay!

It rained like a motherfarger here. It's been poring for two days on and off and parts of Houston were flooded like hell. A few streets were really bad...people in cars were farged

Florida and Texas having miserable weather in August, imagine that.
