I'd like to see Goodell electrocute Vick at half time of the first Falcons game this season.  I'd pay money to see that.  Provided it went to PETA, of course.

I'm surprised you didn't take the "rape stand" angle on that one.

Diomedes

It's a family event.  Kids are down with the 'lectric chair, but the rape stand...that's too much.  Except of course for the southern black kids, for them it's a part of their culture.

Besides, black kids and their "parents", Southern or not, can't afford NFL tickets.

Abusing animals is the sign of a serial killer if you're a white guy, but totally cool if you're a black guy. Do I have that right?

What Vick did was pretty ugly, but he paid for it. At least the media is talking about something besides Brett friggen' Favre.

Is there a similar axiom regarding running a gambling ring?

did leonard little kill someone and only get a four gamer?

clearly its either kick him out for life orgive him a second chance. of course who wants to deal with the media shteinstorm of signing him is the next question.
Zero hour, Michael. It's the end of the line. I'm the firstborn. I'm sick of playing second fiddle. I'm always third in line for everything. I'm tired of finishing fourth. Being the fifth wheel. There are six things I'm mad about, and I'm taking over.

If Detroit, Cincinnati or were any smart...they would sign him pronto! Guaranteed sell out.

I understand the Little thing, but different Commish, different Rules.  Goddell has come in with an iron fist to try and clean up the image that has taken over football.  I could care less about Vick, the dude did some heinous shtein, and just because he was in jail shouldnt give him the right to be on the field immediately.  Goddell even has it so he can be picked up, play in the preseason, and be in camp if someone wants him.

I don't have a problem with a few games, really. I mean, Vick lied consistently to the guy's face who has the only say in his future, and he ran a gambling enterprise. It was a huge blackeye for the league. They have to give him something just to quell the firestorm when he comes back.

What amazes me is that lost in all of this is that Vick was a pretty bad consistent QB to begin with.

the only people who forgot that vick was a mediocre qb are the execs at espn that keep him in the headlines.  teams aren't staying away from vick because of the negative pub that goes with it.  there's no such thing as bad publicity, right buffalo?  teams aren't lining up for vick because he peaked as a qb in 2004 and the only thing that kept him going (his athletic ability) is likely only to decline from here as he approaches 30.

someone will take a flier on him but i bet there aren't but maybe 3 teams in the league willing to do so and none of them will get in a bidding war over him.*

*does not take into account the 4yr/$75mil contract the taterskins will offer him.
