Ha.  But seriously, Kolb looks like he is not NFL caliber.  He runs straight back when pressured and doesn't seem to have a great arm to boot.  Yucky all around.

honestly i have never seen him throw a ball that stood out and that includes numerous TC practices and his preseason games...not one pass much less a good series or drive...agree with what ff said too...his arm strength is suspect as hell


andy reid was on the radio today and basically said he drafted cobb for depth...said he was tried of running different back up qb's on and off the team and he wanted someone long term as the back up


i thought it was really interesting to hear that from him...will defintiely make romey that much more happy that they used their first pick on a qb last year

That is interesting and it seems to mean that they want to keep McNabb long term which I don't necessarily have a problem with. I don't like the Reid/McNabb ball-licking festival that we all have to endure, but McNabb is better than most NFL QBs when healthy and if they can keep him around the team has a better chance to succeed.

Oh hey, it was still a retarded pick if McNabb does end up sticking around, but I like the Manning/Sorgi scenario a lot more than the occasional Mike McMahon sighting...

Yeah, I was not a happy camper last year during the draft.  rjs's dog was definitely in danger of getting a size 10 boot in his ass after they drafted Kolb.

I didn't even mind the pick as much as I did the fact they traded down out of the first round with Dallas.  It was one of the more monumentally stupid deals I can ever remember the Eagles doing.

And yeah, I know they also got Stewie out of it and all, but Jesus, they could have given up the first and third and gone up and gotten someone better than the two of them put together.  But that's not how the Eagles roll and for that and that alone Reid needed to go after last season.

Hating this team is a full time obsession these days.

That's not quite it for me. I didn't mind the pick if McNabb was going to be let go and Kolb was the future. If he isn't the future and the team gave Dallas an extra first rounder it's frigging infuriating.

Whatever. Keeping McNabb and having a competent backup is not such a bad scenario. Firing Reid would make the whole situation better.
