I guess they should have gotten more involved in that whole Jason Taylor thing.

the sad thing is certain people will blame injuires for the eagles having the least sacks in the nfl this year when the fact is they went into camp with suspect ends

Turning out to be a great camp.   :boom

dont do it to yourself...with no injuries they werent going to make much noise this year...really this season is more about carolina than it is the eagles....

ill give the eagles a chance to make a nice little run such as the one in 2006 but once that is not possible they need to implode...the worst possible scenario for this year is for both carolina and the eagles to finish with 7-9 wins each

True, but without Abiamiri AND Clemons, you go from suspect to violently awful.  It's one thing to be average or middle of the pack, but totally another to have one of the worst DL's in the NFL.

Considering Andrews won't show up to camp and the rash of injuries they suffer every year, maybe it's time to ease up just a little. Baldinger commented in his training camp footage that the Eagles hit earlier than anyone else and had the most physical practice of all the teams he's seen. Not to mention, it's hot as hell out right now.

thats definitely possible....im just not sure a rotation of juqua killa howard _____ and smith gets appreciably less sacks than juqua killa howard abiamiri and clemons...but maybe im vastly underrating abiamiri and/or clemons

If there is anything that can be learned from last season, its that any team has a chance if it can stay healthy.  The Giants weren't even the best team in the NFC, but they stayed healthy for the most part and brought home a Lombardi.

Starting off this way, its tough to see them making a run which is why its so frustrating.  Lito, Andrews, Westbrook are all distractions and now injuries are popping up.  farg man...I waited 9 months for this??

Not trying to start an argument but I don't know why people say this. They beat TB in TB, GB at Lambeau, and the Cowboys in Dallas. And if that wasn't enough they beat a team that was 18-0 to win the Superbowl. Maybe they weren't the best team for the duration of the regular season but when push came to shove they proved to be the best team when it mattered the most.

I hope you're not, although for all we know, Clemons will be back tomorrow or could be dead.

i absolutely give them a chance to make the playoffs...its way to early to make any huge predictions...and i hope they do make it but i also dont consider just making the playoffs to be creating a lot of noise

mainly im saying two top ten 2009 picks would be awesome

also the inuries they have had are pretty insignificant...i have never seen anything in abiamiri...he was just the front offices soup du jour of this camp...the guy they single out to say how good he looks and how much better he is this year than last and blah blah blah...

clemons will be back at practice before the end of the week

im way more worried about the distractions from the players you mentioned than i am any injuries (so far)

Plus, they didn't even come close to staying healthy.  Their secondary was a mess all year, but the guys that played did just well enough to win.

I think you're wrong about Abiamiri, I liked what I saw from him last season. He looked solid in camp. But whatever, you're entitled to your opinion.

They won the games that mattered the most and got hot at just the right time.  I realize games are not played on paper, but just looking at rosters the Giants weren't the best.  Opinions vary.

absolutely agree....people forget also that they won six games in a row into the bye week...so they were real good early and real good late...they had a streak of .500 ball there for a while...which people turned into some sort of monster slump...the minnesota game (like 50-10 or something) made everything seem worse than it really was with them
