INJURY UPDATE: Head coach Andy Reid updated second-year defensive end Victor Abiamiri's wrist injury Tuesday, saying Abiamiri is currently in surgery and an accurate timetable for his return will be determined when he gets out.

Abiamiri had been competing for a starting defensive end spot opposite Trent Cole, but the injury suffered on Sunday morning could prove to be a major setback. Reid said the worst-case scenario for Abiamiri would be a four-month recovery, but a best-case scenario could not be determined until later.

Here's how it's going to play out:

He'll start the season on the PUP list, and they'll tell us he should be ready to return during the eligible period of the season.  However, he obviously will not return and will then be put on IR.

Just gathering this from what I read I guess they'll give it a few days to see how his wrist responds to the surgery then make their assessment. 4 months is the worst case scenario.

Just from what I saw at camp I think Howard has a chance to contribute this season.

LEHIGH VALLEY, Pa. (CBS 3) ¯ CBS 3 has learned recently acquired Defensive End Chris Clemons has been rushed to the hospital after collapsing at Eagles Training Camp.
Clemons, 26, was initially carted off the field and taken to the field house where he was hooked up to an IV to be treated for what appears to be heat-related dehydration.

An ambulance then transported Clemons to Lehigh Valley Hospital and a car with Andy Reid followed.
